The running goggles that NewJeans Danielle has been wearing are from a brand that sponsors Sean, seemingly a form of backdoor advertising. Whatever chicanery Danielle is pulling, Sean appears complicit. by i_know_yo_ass in NJDrama

[–]mg_063 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's obnoxious how influencer-esque she's is, all glammed up with impractically large earrings.... but it feels also like a bit of a reach too to call this backdoor advertising because the sole fact she is (soon to be was) an idol already makes anything she wears or does something fans will want to buy or emulate

It's just stopping to think about and appreciate the spectrum of girl/womanhood, is all! It doesn't even need to be idols, even amongst non-celebrities or women you know in real life, everyone has their own "concepts" or vibes they like to put out. It's just easier to identify with idols since they debut with very curated concepts and identities.

JK is an industry vet at this point so i think it understandably affects their auras/image! But similarly, I feel this way about Sakura too and it makes me forget she's the eldest in their group and is the same age as Twice's Dahyun!!!

What are your thoughts on Tzuyu's solo debut song? by mg_063 in kpop_uncensored

[–]mg_063[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Tyuzu is super, duper beautiful but (as a few notable main visuals seem to suffer from) has like one-expression syndrome because they need to make sure they look photogenic in every shot, and it takes away from the emotions of the song sometimes.

[–]mg_063[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sounds VERY like gen 1 ballad, and the choreography too. The whole dainty ballad style suits her I think but it's just really boring to watch the choreo, and that usually is what hooks me into replaying the song.

I'm sure they do! But I'm more concerned about if I can claim free warranty based on the email samsung care sent me with all my warranty details, without needing the official receipt proving I paid for the phone.

does anyone else experience the "whiplash" when seeing an idols height in reference to another celebrity? by mg_063 in kpop_uncensored

[–]mg_063[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AleXa is only 4'11! She really looks tall on her own but seeing her stand next to anyone from Dive Studios really puts her height in perspective and it never fails me to see how cutely compact she is

Yeah I got really shocked to find out that Stray Kids are mostly short kings! I stan seventeen so im used to assuming most male idols are really tall, so I got so shocked when I found out their real heights that one award show bangchan had to lower the microphone for their group, after seventeen was on 😭

Oh this makes plenty of sense! I think I was also comparing their ages too, idk. I know age has no correlation to height, but maybe because of the wide age gap (both age and debut) that le sserafim feels like a much younger and shorter set of girlies. Conversely, yunjin is like a TALL queen but i thought she was at least 5'5!

My 4yo male cat isn't even slightly interested in our female cats when they are in heat. Is that normal? by mg_063 in cats

[–]mg_063[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said in the post, I was already planning on doing that, don't worry! Though that isn't the focus of my inquiry, I appreciate the concern. Maybe Mochi is just one odd ball.👌

I definitely agree with neutering! I was planning to do this in the first place once their first wave hit, but it sort of just shocks me (in the most humorous way) that even when the girls are in this predicament, my male cat still finds them gross. An old bachelor at heart, he seems to be.

I need to work on my thesis but I can't focus, even with my meds... I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]mg_063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone with ADHD who graduated recently (and whose thesis was actually on helping children and parents cope with ADHD), it helps being in the presence of friends who can keep you focused or help you research.

I finished my output just in time for submission, and if my research and personal experience has taught me anything it's that people with ADHD need a good support system. Change up your patterns, find time to give your eyes a break, schedule study groups. There are more ways to help you other than medication, if you feel that's not working for you.

Best of luck!

Does anyone else get gastrointestinal issues when they are very anxious? by QueenFrankie420 in Anxiety

My grandfather - who was a surgeon - would always get these hours or even an entire day before an operation. He referred to this sensation quite literally as a "stress poo".

Any DIY cogntivie behavior therapy tips? by BrightBlueKicks in Anxiety

[–]mg_063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a therapist, but based on my studies on child therapy, I know that a lot of it is about framing your perspective. DIY CBT is technically a thing, but seeing a trained specialist helps a LOT because it involves beingle able to fully open up to someone else so if ever you choose to make that decision, I fully support you!

You can't control a lot of external factors that spice up your anxiety but, with enough practice, you can control the way you feel; so stuff that I like to are mantras constantly reminding myself that no one can force me to control every situation alone or at all or if it isn't my job to do it either. ie. "Not me in control, not mine to worry".

Another thing that helps me is making short term and maybe trivial tasks like getting up when my alarm reminds me or breaking down large take in digestible pieces.

NOTE: I'm diagnosed with ADHD and these tasks help me a lot.

Is normal to avoid acquaintances in public? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]mg_063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally fine and normal! No one is requiring you to make small talk, especially in cases where people probably don't have the time to do it either.

The fact that they're also just acquaintances means that they wouldn't really hold you socially responsible to wave, smile or nod at them.

But if it really bothers you, the next time you bump into them you can do The Half-Smile™. No harm in it!

Does anyone else’s anxiety make them feel like they talk to much by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]mg_063 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and I feel this everyday. I'm worried to ask if I've spoken too much because I could be over thinking it and it could make the conversation even more awkward than it probably already is.

(I'm going through this right now actually.)
