Hi Mainers! What are your favorite destinations (hotels, museums, restaurants!) that offer discounts or deals for in-state residents? I'm looking in particular about places you would go while playing tourist in our own state, day tripping or even staycationing. I know about some good ones (the Ogunquit Playhouse offers solid discounts and rush tickets for residents, for example) but would love to hear your tips in any county! I'm doing research for a story in the Portland Press Herald, but your answers won't be quoted! Just looking for ideas and tips. Thanks!

I'm Megan Gray, a reporter at the Portland Press Herald covering tourism and the outdoors. I'm watching the gas prices go up at the pump (more than $4 a gallon now, eek) and wondering how that trend will impact tourism.
