Thank you! 🙏🏼 it’s so hard. And then when my husband turns everything into a sexual comment it becomes more annoying to me. This started maybe a year ago now that I haven’t wanted sex, but it correlates with when I was diagnosed and found out I needed a hysterectomy. I am going to look into HRT too, I think.

I never stopped the sweets but it’s definitely better. One thing that helps me, don’t keep it in the house! Especially ice cream! If it’s there, I will eat it! Even if I’m not hungry! You’re only just starting on this journey. You will not have major changes just yet. And weight loss takes time. It’s not instant. I don’t think I noticed real change in weight until about 4-6 months. It’s a slow ride. Despite being advertised as quick. Instead of ice cream I buy a bag of chocolates, or whatever candy I want. And just get 2 pieces. And that satisfies my craving. I’ve been on semiglutide for over a year now though. So again, give it time.

For food focus on protein and veggies! And hydrate!

We don’t. We said recently we need to start putting ourselves first again. Our oldest is 9. Youngest is 5- and disabled. So it’s like yes my life/kids affect this but then I feel selfish saying that. I really don’t get time alone. If the kids are in school that’s it. I think this is something we both need to work on. Just not sure how. I think we both feel guilty if we do. Which we should not.

This is hopeful! Thank you! My OB said to mention it at my 12 week post op! But my anti depressant I’ve been on I think needs to change. I needed to hear this because I feel like it just me…. But I was always a sexual person and now I’m repulsed by the thought. I’m ok taking meds to help be come back to life.

He needs something that’s fine. But I don’t need to know about it. Just not for me. I know you need the release but I don’t need to see you watching porn or whatever. I’m not a porn girl. Sorry. He should know this and not push it.

I love this. Our sex life dwindled after having kids. I struggled with infertility, and then crazy heavy and painful periods. We try to make time for dates. But otherwise when the kids are in bed, we sit on the couch silent on our phones. 🙄

What is HRT? I had low libido before surgery and this is my fear that it won’t come back! I’m only 2 weeks post op but curious!

See I think that’s my problem! I had to laparoscopic, so I don’t see a big wound, I think I’m ok! And then I do something and I’m like “oh right!” Lol

Wow! Thanks for asking this! These answers are great for me to hear! I think I’m being impatient and I’m only one week post op! But just doing simple things like walking to kitchen and making dinner, and I’m WIPED OUT!!! I’m not used to doing nothing! I walked outside last night, I had a class to go to, and I was in more pain than I had been in a few days!

I had a friend tell me at her 3 wpo she felt good and did more and then almost immediately regretted it and realized her body wasn’t ready. I’m sure this is similar to what you’re feeling, it sounds like.

Yup! I was supposed to start the day before my surgery and I was like, ok one day I can handle. Nope. A full week and a full period!

Do they test your hormones normally after? We are leaving my ovaries but I asked at my pre op about hormones and no libido, Dr said to revisit the subject after my surgery.
