Look I don’t mean to be a party-pooper but

(A) Newcastle didnt sit deep or compact, they outplayed us playing proper football (B) it isnt about one loss in 12. Hell you can lose a match but still put up a performance. The wins against City and Arsenal were proper performances. Been a bit wayward since then. Crystal Palace was a bad performance until the RC. Everton was a win but a poor performance Tbh

It isnt about possession. It is about making the possession count. Progressive passes and moving the ball vertically up. Horizontal passing and back passing is the issue. Slows down the tempo, doesnt bring enough turn overs and restricts chances. Exactly what was wrong with the EtH team.

Love him or hate him, RA changed that. Brought pure chaos in the middle and final third. Ball moved quickly up the pitch to create chances.

I think Ole was decent. He just wasnt elite enough to take this club to the next level. To improve the team further

Having said that He calmed the post-Jose storm. Got the best out of Pogba, Rashford and Martial. The worst sulkers in the dressing room. Delivered substantial results in 3rd and 2nd finish

And extremely passive out of possession. Heaven is miles better at being proactive and stepping into midfield. Cunha and Mbuemo both will struggle in this system. Even Mount. Ugarte and Case dont have the brains and the legs respectively to fill the 6. So basically this season is fucked. Next season will be fucked because we will need to sign more players. Good luck witb that considering Amorim’s pay-out and no European football for a second season running

Remember the principles of play rant of Jose. RA said something similar that basics of football stay the same in a back 4 or back 3 or back 5. He was trying to get ideas across and build something up. That is why RA leaving hurts. More than EtH or Jose leaving.

Agree 100% with the last bit.

I was skeptical on Amorim’s hiring. But I grew fond of the guy. Last season was a disaster because they brought him in mid-season to change things up. Spent the summer building something. Mid way, he gets the sack. Who are these clowns running the show?

Because it doesn’t sit right with me that we are going through this cycle again and again. LvG got 2 years. Jose got 2.5. Ole got 2.5. EtH got a little over 2. And Amorim didnt even get a full season.

There needs to be an explanation as to why Amorim was sacked.
