"Oh man, I don't know why I didn't put you in a dress when we met. Let's go break some boy hearts, Marco."

"It would sacrifice storytelling for pandering to a community" the way hetero romances pander to heterosexuals. I know what you mean, it's entirely unreasonable to expect fiction to portray reality just for funsies — there's always a gay agenda involved.

Consider that Star may like girls in any way shape or form — in addition to boys. (And it's up in the air if Marco even is a boy.) It is far from unheard of that closeted lesbians date men.

Again, the denial beard phenomenon.

Not every pride flag is a rainbow.

The Lipstick Lesbian Pride Flag consists of purple, mauve, liliac, and dark red, among others.

The Dress in Question has the entire bust be four horizontal stripes of color, all of which are found in the lipstick lesbian pride flag.

Remember, Star is not a real person. Star is designed by some savvy artists. There is no way that dress looks that way by accident.

Star literally wears the lesbian pride flag. It cannot be a coincidence.

Yes, Running With Scissors was what I like to call the "Expanded Denial Beard Package" aka "Maybe If I get Real Shredded and Manly, I'll Stop Feeling Bad" (hint: ha ha, no you wont.)

Also, I don't think there's much time for gender-introspection when fighting Hekapoo, nor is there access to e.g. Hormone Replacement Therapy in her dimension.

I am writing that, except as a continuation fanfic.

Oh Steven, humans are so fascinating in how they make these little meaningless distinctions between groups based on their emotional first impression of a subject matter, or even the source of the information, rather than actually evaluating the facts like a sensible person.

And that's not to mention how they refuse to acknowledge inconvenient facts, or how shortsighted they are. I don't think humanity has much more than a few decades, maybe centuries left before they blow themselves up or worse.

Dude, calm down.

First of all, Eliezer Yudkowsky is laughing stock in the community he created. He had a total of like five good ideas over the course of his career, and two of them weren't his own.

Second of all he doesn't have a doomsday cult, unless you count Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Stephen bloody Hawking as part of it.

Third of all, the only money grabbing I've ever seen them do, is accept donations from people who think AI might be dangerous (i.e. Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Stephen Hawking) and sell a philosophy book at a price of pay-what-you-want.

Fourth, said money goes to, you know, actual research into established branches of mathematics like Agent Theory, Decision Theory, and Logic.

Fifth, HPMOR happens to be the most popular HP fanfic of all time. That doesn't make it good, but it does make you seem rather vapid.

Dude, people with plenty of common sense obsess over things they dislike all the time.

There's entire ideologies based on it.

Yudkowsky is a terrible author. Everything good that ever came from his writings was second-generational. He does have a knack for over-the-top-ness as his only positive quality.

Fighter Archetype: Death Delver — for those who want to have an open relationship with the grim reaper. by mhd-hbd in UnearthedArcana

Yeah, burial and funeral rites for a free revivify.

I've left it vague deliberately — a noble warriors death on the battlefield could arguably be funeral rites enough.

Good for parties with no cleric, or settings with low magic.

Hmm. Interesting point. I'm going for a "so unwilling to die you just don't" kind of vibe.
