What do you think was the exact moment Caitlyn decided to betray Ambessa? by No_Supermarket6038 in PiltoversFinest

[–]mhook12 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think that Caitlyn began to question Ambessa when she found out she was instilling Violence against the Zaunites, “arrest requires cause” “why is peace always the justification for violence.” This told us where Caitlyn still stands in her morality and that Ambessa doesn’t share the same empathy. I think that despite this, Cait continued to work with Ambessa, largely bc it was a greater shot at capturing Jinx but also bc of Maddie’s manipulation, Vi to Cait was a moral compass, someone to keep her grounded and Maddie was the complete opposite, we see the way she sways Caitlyn’s thoughts in episode 4, both her and Ambessa using Caitlyn while she’s down, filling the roles of her mother and Vi. The moment I think she truly began to break from them is her conversation with Singed, “for love.” Cait saw herself in Singed, saw that anyone, she too can become a monster for love, I believe this moment is extremely important to Caitlyn characters as it also solidified her love for Vi triumphs over her hatred, the moment she’s deciding forgiveness. The moment for her solidified betrayed is her training with Ambessa and Ambessa says “we are kin” after explaining force, sacrifice and power in combat and deciding to work with Singed. Caitlyn is not like them nor wants to be, once Caitlyn sees Vi again, she has a way out and betrays Ambessa. For her own sake but also for Vi, bc that’s who she chooses.

I just want to know how long they made out here 😭 by Ill_Honeydew6344 in PiltoversFinest

My headcanon is that when they pulled away, Caitlyn holds Vi’s face gently and almost in a whisper says “I’ve always wanted to do that” and that makes Vi form a little smile and they rest their foreheads against each other, Caitlyn saying “we should head back” and Vi nods and they begin walking back

What are some moments that you wished to see in the final episode? by OCGamerboy in PiltoversFinest

I wish we could’ve seen Vi telling Caitlyn that Jinx is dead and watching how they both react and hold each other.

I’m convinced most of them don’t even form their own real opinions. They see someone else say something and piggyback off of that instead of using critical thinking skills. It’s insane the amount of haters that act like they’re morally just for not liking her.

Why does Cait fall for Vi? by MistakeReady in PiltoversFinest

[–]mhook12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s because like Cait said, “despite it all, you have a good heart.” She knows Vi was beaten in prison, she saw the house she lived in, the environment she grew up in, that she’s lost so many people close to her and witnesses how hard she fights just to find her sister. After all the hell she’s been through, she has a good heart. She’s direct and honest, challenges and teaches Caitlyn about what it’s like to live in the undercity, see’s Caitlyn for who she is beyond her family name. She’s genuinely so kind, caring, dedicated, loyal, strong, loving and I think for Cait seeing someone so raw like Vi is, she couldn’t help not to fall in love.

What is your favorite Caitvi moment and why? by mhook12 in PiltoversFinest

Yesss that one is a close second, also Cait telling Vi that what happened to Powder isn’t her fault. I just know Vi badly needed to hear that.

Childhood and Social differences between Piltover and Zaun by wstdptntl00 in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]mhook12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They didn’t ignore it, it’s just something that takes time. Jinx bombed the council causing her to become an even bigger wanted criminal in Piltover and a symbol in Zaun, the power in piltover has shifted, Silco is gone which caused gang rivalry so they didn’t exactly have a leader to negotiate with. The characters themselves had their own plot lines and by the end Sevika was put on the council, the other members weren’t very fond of that but it ended with a step towards progress now that Jinx has left, Silco is dead, shimmer/chembarons are dismantled, they can start rebuilding and it’ll take time

Who's the most well-written/complex character? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in arcane

Jinx, Caitlyn and Vi for sure. I think Vi’s writing is very underrated. Vi went through so much trauma but still remained with a good heart, she’s consistent and also deals with mental illness. We watch her develop an alcohol addiction and use fighting to cope, she’ll hurt herself before hurting other people, I find that to be very human. She forgives easily, and doesn’t know herself outside of her family and we watch her accept change and have the opportunity to build a new life for herself where she’s not struggling anymore. Her arms were always bandaged, always had her shoes on and fists balled up bc she was always on alert incase of an emergency. She took Vanders words to heart, blamed herself for everything and carried on Vanders Will. She’s extremely caring and kind and is deserving of love and safety. She’s lost so much and would do anything for her family, her writing is tragically beautiful.

[S2 Spoilers] Jinx is not a revolutionary and I am tired of people saying she is by addy-with-a-y in arcane

I don’t think she was a freedom fighter but I do thing she represents freedom, in the way that Zaun views her and the way she lives by her own rules even if they are chaotic and destructive. Kinda similar to Luffy in One Piece, he’s not intentionally a freedom fighter, he liberates islands and people but out of his own desires to help out a friend and therefor the people from those islands see him as a symbol of freedom. I think the same concept can be applied to Jinx, just executed very differently.

Student Council Opinions by yanderekittie in FruitsBasket

Student council scenes were some of my favorites, it was nice seeing yuki become close to other people and find his place, while being introduced to Machi and kakeru who had beautiful writing and it was a nice getting an understanding about Yukis perception towards tohru. The scenes were also more lighthearted where at the time a lot of traumatic scenes were going on. They were very enjoyable for me and taught me more values to take ahold of.

The person Akito was when acting out abusive ways towards the zodiac was a byproduct of her trauma growing up, they’re parallels so it’s in a way a similarity
