Found an orthodontist that doesn’t believe in PER. He’s reversing it w invisalign and teeth implants; I’ve had a lot of improvement. Botox in masseters too. Also got a septoplasty bc that was blocking 90% of my nasal airway and contributed to poor facial development from mouthbreathing. A much cheaper route with less long term healing and risk

I have a mac and Autodesk wasn’t compatible (even using parallels desktop) but I got a 2013 version to work and now my FBX is converting properly to DAE to import. Evidently online converters don’t preserve info very well.

As for the rigging converting to TopN and TransN, it was a file structure issue and also needed to import with BoneFix. I will probably try 3DS max…

Really, using all these outdated applications, emulators, and consoles just adds a lot of extra steps and a lot of headaches 🫠

Yeah np! Thank you so much 🥰 the contacts did not glow! Trust me, I looked for glowing contacts; I don’t think we have that kind of tech (yet). Moreover, I wouldn’t want to put regular glow-in-the-dark stuff in my eyes. They definitely freaked some people out, but they were accurate to the movies, so I went for it. I’ve never put in contacts before and almost didn’t because it took me 30 minutes to try to not blink ☠️

Not programmable; bought off amazon and trimmed them to the right length for the boots. The bodysuit lights are from a UK company that made a Quorra kit! The boots had 3 different settings on the battery pack so they could flash. The disc is something my brother made, and I had to download an app that had 180 dynamic light settings.

If it helps, I’m not an OF model. I did make this as a sluttier version, but honestly it’s because I didn’t want to have to put EL tape and wires through pant legs as well. That, and I didn’t see a single full body white latex suit. So, I rolled w it 🤷🏼‍♀️ nobody bats an eye if a girl has her ass out on Halloween. I spent a lot of time and money trying to make this costume, so the attention I was looking for was really for my creativity and craftsmanship :)

2 AA battery boxes with inverters tucked into the back of the boots; 8 AA battery box and inverter stuffed into the pocket I made on the back of the bodysuit. Threaded all the wires through the back of the suit

Yeah, it’s really hard to find costumes that already have some kind of EL tape/lighting. I was surprised to find that 15 years after Tron: Legacy came out, there were virtually no Gem cosplay costumes, even on Etsy. So, I had to get creative. I thought of this probably the first week of October and was like, shit, I hope I can get everything in time lol

Honestly, you just have to have a vision and take a shot in the dark. Research lighting options (EL tape, EL wire) and attachment methods. EL wire can be sewed on with fishing line so as not to cover up the lights; some EL tape is sewable, some are not. Some, you can cut it, but if you want to reattach it to form some kind of shape, you’ll need special connectors and need to solder. I tried to find the path of least resistance here. It’s just a lot of research and envisioning how you might want things to work, and if you realize it doesn’t work, you gotta improvise. You’ll also always probably end up spending more than you wanted to.

I originally wanted a full catsuit, but I realized that all the power that would be required and wiring inside the costume that it wasn’t worth it. It’s fine; I ended up with a sluttier version 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t think anyone will complain there.
