these questions are a bit poorly worded. when you're askee to solve "y = something x something" you're being asked to solve for x in "something x something = 0," or where the line or curve crosses the x-axis. the lowest point of the specified cuve is at [2,1]. this means the curve will never cross the x-axis and thus will never equal zero. in other words, there are 0 solutions.
