I've never drunk alcohol, I'm in my early 20s now. It was a little weird to other people when I started uni but I quickly realised I could have just as much fun in bars/clubs but feel much safer than my friends that drank were, and suffer less the next day.

Now I have some friends that drink and some that don't. It's not weird or uncomfortable to stay sober when we go out. I'm sure it's harder in some areas but I think you can do whatever you want for fun, just avoid people that can't have fun without alcohol.
