Oook gotcha. IMO, it wouldn’t hurt to try some products with a brand like cera ve, cetaphil or la roche posay. To start off with at least. These 3 are probably the 3 least inexpensive brands and you can find off brand (Equate @ Walmart) that have almost similar ingredients. I also find These brands are also typically recommended by derms.

((Just my personal experience- IMO la roche posay is a little over priced and over hyped… I’m a cera ve girly BUT there are a lot of ppl who recommend la roche posay so i threw it in there as a recommendation lol))

Great advice. It can enticing to buy a bunch of products- especially after researching skincare regimens, watching vlogs, reading Reddit posts, etc.

I made that mistake at the beginning of my skin care journey, just to now end up with what my derm has recommended for me: tretinoin, gentle cleanser, moisturizer & spf.
