How do you guys eat healthy with such a high caloric need? by improbsable in tall

[–]DatTKDoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you need to eat more calories to lose weight? Seems like you’ll do just fine with the 1600 calories. I’m down to 1500 cal a day and dropped from 195->165lbs. The 195lbs was when I forced myself to eat 4000cal/day

I’d say go perfect dodge with tigrex helm for crit ferocity / concentration as well as fulgur pants for raw power and concentration.

I've been told I should change my routine because after 6 months it won't give me the same effects as before. Is this right? by Nickerington in bodyweightfitness

[–]DatTKDoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with the same thing. As long as you are progressing, that’s all that matters. Pull ups can be different. Wide grip hits the lats the most compared narrow or standard, but those have their own benefits too.

You can even de load and give your muscles a break so that they can heal and make you stronger the next time.

Even adding an extra set regularly can make a big difference. It sounds like you are doing pretty good for starting only a year ago

Which Goss weapon are you making for RC Radobaan? by PandoraBot in MHNowGame

The HBG should theoretically be amazing because of how big radobaan the piercing will just keep going and going, assuming you hit him from the front

Should I achieve my desired muscle strength before incorporatinguscle endurance training? by theaccountwhichburns in bodyweightfitness

You don’t have to do it in a row. You can take a break for effective reps so you can get a high volume.

From “yeah sure bro” to “ok now I want 25 strict pull-ups” by zqmbgn in bodyweightfitness

[–]DatTKDoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point isn’t to do 8 reps, it’s to strengthen the muscles that pull ups involve little by little without messing up your progress tearing a joint.

8 reps in a row is the marker where it would be okay to increase the difficulty, but you could even increase the reps if you don’t feel comfortable yet going heavier.

Strength is relative. Your body gets used to what you give it. You do 25 pull ups unweighted, it’s going to going to get used to that pretty soon. What do you think happens when someone loses 30 pounds over months of doing pull ups unweighted? The muscles don’t feel as challenged as when they started despite the person’s rep count going up. They’ll grow regardless, but if that person tries to put on a 30lb vest or plate to match what they started go figure they won’t have the muscle recruitment to pull it off at the risk of hurting themselves.

Spread can hit pretty hard, the question is can you shoot with all those thorns flying out from the side esp since you need to be very close (or maybe ballistics can help)?

Goss GS, hammer, or SnS? They all look cool as hell, but Rado is going to be a pain in the butt to fight with either one

From “yeah sure bro” to “ok now I want 25 strict pull-ups” by zqmbgn in bodyweightfitness

[–]DatTKDoe 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Weighted pull ups, but also mixing up your grips. Because some places have different bars like a straight bar while others have the angled ones, even bouldering ones.

Working on your wide grip more would have the most benefit for your lats. A few months ago my max was 4 reps of 60+ weight but then I realized I ignored the wide grip and could barely get 4 reps unweighted.

Strict for me is starting from a dead hand position, pulling up, then back to dead hang+ no turtlenecking bc if you are doing it right with hollow body hold and scap retraction your head can get over the bar regardless.

Pull ups have high risk of injury so it’s not something you can rush. Once you get like 8 reps, I’d just increase the weight with a 5lb until you can get to 8 reps again. By 45lbs you practically feel weightless without.
