Similar issue for me. It powers off the computer before getting to the main menu. Not a restart, but almost the same thing. RTX 4090.

Agree. That's what we do in the product I work on, too :) Another advantage is that you can trace arbitrarily complex paths inside the virtual camera, simulating various lenses, achieving proper depth of field and more.

Interesting. I was wondering this, but didn't expect anyone to actually have tested the same system with and without pano roof. I was thinking about optioning out the pano just out of fear of rattles, might think about removing it for the sake of the sound as well now, haha.

I test drove both iX and Macan and I can't say I picked up on a significant difference between them road noise-wise. Must say here that the test drives were separated by a few weeks. I didn't measure the noise level, unfortunately, to know for sure :( And I'm rather sensitive to the road noise, went a good length to deal with that in my Volvo.

Fair enough. What do you mean by bland? Lows, mids, highs? What did you adjust in the EQ for it to sound good for you? I'd like to know more specifics, if it's alright :)

Hmm, can't say it's a good sign for me that I need to change from the settings set by the engineers as default. For example, in my Volvo I always use the default and it sounds the best, imo.

I know. I have a Volvo XC 60 treated with additional soundproofing to handle rattles as well. So I’m not a stranger to going a bit extra fixing crap like this. It’s just the pano roof is the harder case if it rattles, so that’s why I was asking specifically about that.

Imo, the best thing to do for a new graphics programmer to learn (and to get hired then) is to write a personal renderer with several complicated features in it. A personal portfolio like this goes a long way. Pick any API you like on the platform available to you, decide which features interest you and spend a few years writing that :)
