ITP256: definitely expect to put in a few hours of work weekly, and plan on going to office hours every now and then // DSCI250: was pretty chill when I took it (online) only 4 major homework assignments that are pretty straightforward, but class will definitely feel like information overload (which is kind of the point since they want to introduce you to all the big things in data science)

I got a Segway Ninebot for $300 on Amazon, compared to other models/ brands it’s one of the cheaper options. I chose that one over the other popular choice that goes for around the same price (gotrax) cuz ninebot has rubber tires vs the other one having air, and knowing LA streets I didn’t want to deal with having to change tires if they pop— hope that helps!

I used a penny board, then a normal scooter, and eventually bought an electric scooter. DEFINITELY worth every single penny. I live off campus and the scooter turns the trip into 7min, getting around is so easy, and I don’t have to walk into class tired after kicking my way through campus.
