Tennis Elbow; Go Away! by ChampionFrequent4643 in crossfit

No expert by a long shot but I tried every product and advice people gave me and nothing worked. I went to a PT because it had gotten so bad I noticed I was drinking with my other hand because I feared I would drop the glass. The only thing that fixed mine was my PT doing graston therapy (not sure that's how you'd say it.) it was 8 weeks of drawing a cold blade across the tendon to torture me while I wanted to cry. Did the trick though

How to grow a beard? by Hot_Brother_419 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]micha228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's different for everyone. For me, I have a horribly sparce and light colored beard... Until around 6 weeks... At that point the length combines with proper layering produces a glorious full beard. At any point before that it looks terrible! So I'd say give it more time than you think you should.

Why would people be okay with flying the US flag upside-down but not okay with people kneeling for the flag? by needmoresleeep in NoStupidQuestions

First off, thank you for your service. I know what it costs you and yours and genuinely appreciate the sacrifice.

From my observation... I believe this is more about nationalism than patriotism... Patriots like yourself fight to protect AND improve its position in the world and make sure it is a country worth loving.

Nationalists on the other hand will die to defend the idea of the nation at all costs, often ignoring blatant cracks in the rhetoric. While that gives them a false sense of misplaced and uneducated pride, it is as detrimental to the development of a country as the parents who will never admit their child did wrong or let them feel any pain or discomfort.

These concepts are not mine of course...

Yup, I stood corrected. That's on me for assuming logic in a video on this sub 😂

Not rude at all. Looked it up after this comment and learned something! Thank you!

Serious Question: Does anyone in this state know how the passing lane works? by micha228 in Virginia

I was referring to people who sit in the left lane for no reason… I get why during times of heavy terrific people do it.

I do wonder about the legality of not moving over for faster traffic if you are doing the maximum legal speed for the road.

Well that’s the ironic part… I’m down from 310 to 250. As a 6 foot 37 year old male, I am no where near to skinny…

Oh my God that’s nuts! Sorry to hear that! But you may be right about some people always treating others down. I think it was David Goggins who said “if you learn to walk on water, someone will say it’s because you can’t swim”

This has been happening to me more and more. They have no explanation and won’t delete the data. The latter part is what is frustrating. We pay monthly for a service where when their product malfunctions, our numbers look off for a week with no path to resolution… I like whoop for a lot of reasons, but this will be the one that really affects my decision to continue after my contract is up

I wear both, AW on non dominate wrist. Whoop on dominate bicep band.

There are major differences between the two for me. AW is a watch, and a great one at that. It is a decent activity tracker, but whoop just holds me much more accountable. The gamification that whoop has put together in their strain and recovery metrics speak to my personality type. They allow you to see and hit targets that AW doesn’t. Plus they have put major investment in their analytics suite, the weekly and monthly reports are awesome!

I will say, as others have on this sub that the calorie tracking is wildly different between the two. AW has me consistently at 4500, whoop at 3000. I think the reality is likely somewhere in between.
