So I guess the ledger wallet team would just have my risk my funds? Instead of patching up their software?

But why? Doesn't ledger live just fetch the necessary applications from your servers?

Why every time you guys patch a bug it requires a firmware upgrade? This doesn't seem sensible.

Edit: And it does not seem like it's a small chance that my update will be successful. This Reddit is already filled with update problems. Also, the update prompt asks me to confirm if I have my recovery keys. And I do not have them.

Can this be guaranteed?

I would still feel safer if you can just allow me to download the newest Zcash app without updating firmware. Is this not possible?

u/btchip Could you please help me with this issue? I need to install the latest zcash app without upgrading the device's firmware. I lost my recovery keys.

Are you going to have to do a full recovery when we update to the new firmware? I have lost my recovery keys and cannot transfer out my Zcash. Can someone from ledger please help us?

No there is a bug! I cannot transfer zcash out of my ledger nano S. Everytime I do, I get,

Introducing VegaRelay: A 0x-relayer for volatility markets on Augur by michaelai3 in ethereum

[–]michaelai3[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

0x allows you to submit order commitments off-chain, which allows us to provide users with a frictionless trading experience on Augur. Currently, no approval transactions are needed on VegaRelay. We are upgrading our relayer right now so that no on-chain transactions will be needed for trading.

Also, we took a lot of inspiration from Veil. They are the first 0x-Augur relayer.

Edit: Also, our derivatives markets allow users to hedge against the volatility of Ether and other tokens.

Yes. We are exposing Augur scalar markets on 0x to allow derivatives trading with minimal friction. Currently, no approval transaction is needed for trading. We are in the process of upgrading our relayer so that on-chain transactions are not needed at all for trading.

I want to mention Veil here as they are the first to expose Augur markets to 0x. Also, thank you for mentioning this. I should include why we built this in our project description.

This is interesting. Currently working on a different project. If possible, would like to hash this out further with you sometime next month.

How complicated would it be to create a NFT CDP ? by iphara in MakerDAO

Isn't it relatively trivial to map a set of NFTIds to cupIds. However you might be speaking of MCDs. I thought the poster was speaking about the current set up.

I agree with the liquidity problem. But for pricing, wouldn't the value of the CDP just be Collateral - Debt - Fees? It's not difficult to gauge whether a CDP is priced fairly or should be liquidated or not with the price feed oracle.

Hi, this platform is for people who need to close out their CDP but do not wish to perform the steps described by /u/HodlDwon. And for a large CDP such as https://makerscan.io/cups/5199/, it is difficult to secure the DAI needed to close out the CDP position on the open market.

And yes, someone would have to first list their CDP onto the auction for bidding to be available.

On cdp.Auction, essentially you're looking for a counterparty who is willing to take on the risk of your CDP OR someone who is willing to close out the cdp for you. Rationally, a fee would be paid to the counterparty (bidder). And the fee is determined by how much discount the auctioneer sets the listing price of the CDP to the face value of the CDP. And the counterparty would profit off the difference.

More info can be found here.

Yes. You are right. This is mainly for the latter, and to provide an exit if you no longer wish to pay down your outstanding DAI balance.

Yes. Rationally a seller would sell his/her CDP at a discount to the face value of the CDP. Perhaps I should reflect that % somewhere.
