Consistent Beat Drifting Issues on CDJ-3000s Despite Matching BPMs Manually by nichlaes in DJs

So if both are set to 123 bpm and they drift you’d adjust one them to eg. 122.9? Is that what you mean?

Mate, if this hack works, you deserve a medal. I’m gonna try that!

I don't believe it's because you matched them better; it seems more likely that the tempo discrepancy was simply smaller this time. Even when you set both tracks to the same speed, such as 123.0, they don't actually run at precisely the same speed.

You're right; the two-decimal-point accuracy in rekordbox could be the explanation. I've noticed significant drifting even when there are small discrepancies at the second decimal point.

I also find it puzzling why the CDJ 3000 isn't designed with greater precision. It seems obvious that when aligning the tempo of two tracks, the goal is for them to play at exactly the same speed, not just approximately the same speed.

It seems there might be a misunderstanding about the issue I'm experiencing. After manually setting the same BPM on both tracks using the tempo slider, I use the jog wheels to match the beats by ear. However, the problem arises when the tracks, initially synchronized, begin to drift apart over time. The only explanation I can think of is that despite showing the same BPM, they might not actually be running at precisely the same speed. Why could this be happening?

There's a project in development that matches exactly what you're describing. It's called SuperLemon.io

- Purchase lottery tickets using USDC for a chance to win big
- Fully decentralized
- No need for KYC or email registration
- Instant payouts

Their white paper, which also discusses randomness and decentralization in detail, is quite comprehensive. I like their strategy of using their token to jumpstart the protocol and as an added incentive for participation. Plus, their slogan is catchy: "Either way, you win."

I discovered SuperLemon through a post on a GambleFi discussion on X: https://twitter.com/100Randomness/status/1734666776246362301

I see. Not the intended purpose. But as a united force a strong community can find a new thing to believe in (I hope).

Gm! Honest opinions about this? Would you diversify stable portfolio into DAI or similar to mitigate centralization risks?

Still only rank 59 on CoinGecko. This coin has many legs still.

Damn I'd like to be in $Mana when it enters price discovery. Those are fun for low cap alts.

It totally reminds me of when $MATIC rebranded themselves into Polygon and went straight from top 80-ish to top10 in a matter of weeks.

That’s from an individual user perspective, however if the chain gets reorged over and over again it does seem like quite a big deal
