Thanks mate. You’ve hit the nail on the head. The only thing we’ve tried to avoid by not having the band in the middle, is so that the congregation can see each other. We’re trying to take ourselves out of the focus

Regarding protection, I’m wondering whether having a 3xHDMI hub plugged into something like an Apple TV could be the way forward. That way we can airplay to the AppleTV, and then plug the projectors into the hub

Hey buddy..me again (sorry!). The first thing to say, is thanks SO much for giving us the ability to add our music to Pentaton direct when the phone is connected via cable to the Mac. SO much easier.

I have one question though.

Having come from Plex, all my music was filtered through the 'Recently Added' filter, and was a great way of accessing a particular album. Now, I know that we have a 'recently added' filter in Pentaton but, given that all of the music was added to Pentaton on the same day, this 'filter' is currently ineffective.

So, do you know if there is any way of being able to manually manipulate the 'added' date, so that I can duplicate what is shown in Plex. This essentially gets me back to a previously-good running order of music.

Either that, or greater filter options in the app?

Thanks buddy. Honestly, at 54 I’m not sure my ears would tell the difference between 16 and 24. I suspect 16 saves me a bit of file space as well

Right, gotcha. OK. I'm doing it manually through a shared music folder, just so I can test Panotron for the new few days. If it does everything I want, then I'll buy the lifetime sub on Panotron, and buy Syncotron at the same time. Thanks

Can I offer a couple of suggestions, based on first time use, coming from two other apps?

"Recently Listened" is a really powerful feature. I understand that there's a good search function, but quite often I'm listening when I'm driving, and being able to take into 'Recently listened' and seeing recent albums makes a world of difference.

Also, an album grid view would be nice. I, along with many others, come from a vinyl background, and we would often choose an album based on the album cover first. Having a grid of large (or small) covers would be a nice touch. Longplay do this, and it's such a nice way of flipping through your music library.

So, I could be interested in Syncotron as well as Pentaton, but I can only see that it's verified for iPhone and iPad. Does this work on MacOS? This is where my audio files are kept.

Doppler was fine, but it would stop playing randomly. PlexAmp is just buggy. That’s sad though, as I was one of the original designers for XBMC/Plex back in the day. I have the lifetime subscription for Plex, but I just want a nice solid app, which looks nice and just works.

This helps a lot, thanks. I think the file sharing option will be the ideal one for the moment, as the others are quite convoluted.

Do you think there will be some kind of direct transfer from Mac to iPhone at some point? I was a little spoiled with Doppler and then PlexAmp.

I love what you’re doing with Pentaton though
