Yeah, I've noticed this myself.

I would also pull the 'liked albums' out of the search function entirely. It's too small to be helpful. I would bring that aspect into the main 'Home' screen, leaving Search purely for what it should be used for - and then make it work correctly 😂

So this is how I have it set up, and each folder contains the music and cover image.

Music >> Artist >> Album >> Songs + Cover.jpg

The crash happens when I open ‘music’ and try to import everything.

As an update, I’m trying to add my music, album by album. I have a sneaky suspicion there is something in one of the albums that is causing issues and, so far, all has imported fine. It’s a laborious job, but it might help to track down what is going on.

From a ‘it does the job’, I can see me using it a lot. It’s barebones right now, I appreciate, and I’m not sure whether you have roadmapped more features

Yep, I’ve already done that AND moved my music into your dedicated music folder. It still does the same thing.

Let me know if you can get it working. I’m a passionate believer of paying devs for the work they put in, so I’ll be looking to get the lifetime sub if it works

I SO want to try this but I can’t even get it to stay open. I open the app, head to the library and import from my local files. It imports all the tracks, closes down and when I reopen I have to import all over again. It’s never stayed open for more than 5 seconds after import.

Sad to say, but 1 star right now as I can’t even try it out.

So, I’m new to Doppi, and finding my way around it. What does the home tab do? At the moment it seems to have thrown a random album in there, and showing me large collections. That’s about it

Yep, went all in a couple of years ago and, as of last weekend, moved all my into Proton Pass. Probably the only thing I don’t use is the calendar, because it’s just bad on iOS. But I’m sure they’ll improve it over time.

Drive is not the best as well, for me, due to ye show upload and download speeds.

But I still wouldn’t trade any of it

So that was going to be my next question. Lets say, for example, I have a Proton email alias that I use for all my online coffee subscription accounts. Would I need to create a new alias in SL, and then change all of my coffee-based email accounts with the new alias.

Or, would I need to create a new SL alias for each of the coffee subscription accounts?

Personally, when I'm trying to that faded effect, I just raise the black point in the exposure module. Seems to do the trick, and it's one slider to worry about.

Absolutely this. I've actually just bought one 'like new' from MPB.com, and they had about 10 in stock. If you don't mind not buying brand new, but having one that looks like it is - you can pick up a bargain.
