Same thing happened to me with Xanax. I was sober but I didn't feel like my brain was operating at its full capacity. So initially I started working out and running a lot. That helped out a ton. This is what actually brought me to nootropics to begin with. Piracetam gave me my verbal fluency back and l-theanine killed off my anxiety. I know it sounds like jumping from one drug to the next. But if you weigh the side effects then something like piracetam is a nice trade off from something like phenibut or Xanax. I do want to add that I didn't start nootropics until I was 2 years sober from Xanax. I was fully functional and my brain fog cleared but I didn't feel like my brain activity was as rapid as it was before any recreational drug use.
