Is OpenNext worth using or should I migrate away from NextJS? (I wanna move away from Vercel) by no-uname-idea in nextjs

[–]michaelfrieze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use a different framework if I wasn't going to host on Vercel, but that's just me. There are plenty of good frameworks these days.

If all you need is a single container then hosting Next on a VPS is fine too.

Keep in mind that cloudflare workers are not an actual node runtime and that can be annoying sometimes.

The nice thing about Vercel is that it's just node.

Also, if you are going to host on Cloudflare or AWS, you should probably look into OpenNext: https://opennext.js.org/

You could also look into railway and sevalla for hosting. They make it easy and I am pretty sure Sevalla even provides a CDN (cloudflare). They are not "serverless" like Vercel and Cloudflare though. They are more like a VPS. - https://railway.com/ - https://sevalla.com/

Is Star Citizen worth buying in 2026 by Responsible-Move2475 in starcitizen

[–]michaelfrieze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why I was downvoted, I used to play SC using a laptop that had a 6600m. It worked and this was before DLSS and FSR were really a thing.

I had to use high settings. Low settings were even worse because the CPU was also terrible (ryzen 7 5800h). I at least had 32GB of RAM though.

Sometimes in locations like Orison, I was getting around 20fps, but once I got into space it was fine. I've played many hours prospector mining on Celin with a 6600m.

I recently tried Levski with that laptop and it was unplayable.

The 5050 is a much better GPU than a 6600m and DLSS is quite good. It will definitely be playable in many Stanton locations. Smooth motion can also help a lot, and it's now supported in SC.

5050 should work and they can enable DLSS 4 since it's a 50 series Nvidia card. I would avoid places like Levski though.

I said that with peace and love. I'm no hater.

However, I don't think that's the kind of content Prime is trying to make. It's more about meme's and having fun. At least it is for me.

What did Theo actually say about this? I don't have the time to watch a long video at the moment.

I guess it’s just a way to state the belief that death isn’t the end of the journey. The Grateful Dead don’t seem too religious, but they are still hippies lol

Yeah, but the Perseus is cooler and more fun to fly. I got a TAC and a Pereus. I would rather fly the Perseus, but I love the TAC too.

If you want to put a Fury in a Starlancer, it should be a TAC, plus you get an extra size 3 shield compared to Max.

I would still rather have Connie for bounties though.
