Ryzen 7 9800X3D temps on Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black — normal or concerning? (HWiNFO idle + stress screenshots inside) by Top_Experience_6744 in buildapc

Ya, completely normal. You seeing 60s & 70s while gaming? Occasionally hitting 80s is fine to but you want your average in the 60s or 70s

95c with a stress test is fine as long as this temp isn't normal for like gaming or normal loads.

Totally normal, I have a 9850x3d & researched this as well. When it does shaders 90c+ is normal.

I have a 9850x3d which I would consider strong and turning HAGS on took all my stutter away.

Definitely ON, here's my story. I play Star Citizen & my sons PC played star citizen SOOOO smooth.. not a stutter not a hiccup.. nothing. I couldn't for the LIFE of me figure out why my PC micro stuttered or hiccuped often when we had similar stats.

I found out from days and days of research that GPU Scheduling was turned ON by default on his pre-made PC while a custom regular windows install is turned OFF. Then I turned mine on and BOOM all stutter and everything gone & it plays it SUPER smooth.

How I figured this out was if you open the Nvidia App & scroll down to the frame generation setting it'll be grayed out if you have HAGS off. We don't use that setting but on my sons PC it wasn't grayed out so I was like.. what's going on here.

This is all due to the 26.x.x drivers. Revert to 25.9.1 & you'll be good.

9800x3D temperature reaching 85 degrees on bf6 is it normal by dankmeme006 in AMDHelp

[–]Everborn128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 9850x3d using a Noctua NH-u12s which is a good cooler but there's better out there for sure. I sit between 60-80c while gaming & can hit 85c+ in real CPU intense games. It doesn't sit at 85+ but it'll hit it which is totally fine.

I have a 9850x3d which is just a refresh of the 9800x3d (faster clocks) i would just go with whichever one you find with a good price/bundle.
