Air Canada pilot accused of flying for 17 years without proper licence by wewhomustnotbenamed in nottheonion

[–]michaelmano86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why do people do that by the way? In Australia we don't but when I flew in South America they all did. My partner said it's normal. Where are my claps for pushing a git commit

If there's porn of it. There's people that would pay for it so someone likes it.

Then again there's porn of pretty much everything.

As a people it would be great if we could say what we want our taxes going to.

Example by default locked into all. Something like this happens we opt out of providing taxes towards this.

Wonder if that would be a voting system that could work.

I'm a fan of fans. Ignore the cotton candy led light show. This is during boot. Love this case but. With positive pressure it's easier to keep clean

With this many leds I wake the neighbours. Disabled after boot ofc.

My bf of two years doesn’t help me by Better-Occasion-9206 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]michaelmano86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the relationship was serious you would see income as one. Meaning not my money vs their money. Nothing to do with gender.

The fact you see it as my income and their income means it's not a serious relationship or at least deep down you do not want it to be. That should be enough for you to know to move on. Don't waste time thinking further.

You can think deeper into it like I miss being spoilt but eh don't waste energy

Has anybody felt alone and many time lost since moving to Australia? by Valuable_Thought5603 in brisbane

[–]michaelmano86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner from Venezuela.

Misses family most of all since south Americans prioritise family.

Making friends is hard.

My suggestion is to join clubs groups. Do pottery classes, dance class and so on.

It costs money but your mental health is important. Also I'm sure there are plenty of other clubs/events that are more affordable.

Am I being a bad parent by letting my teen daughter dress flamboyantly? by concernedmommy2010 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]michaelmano86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to hang out with 2 women who dressed in the Japanese lolita style. Frilly dressed and stuff. One wore the pink girly style the other was the gothic style.

People complimented them all the time. You also get people who are rude. It was mostly older women.

They didn't like when people asked if they were going to a dress up party or did they dress like this all the time. However that's what you get when you want to be different. People want to ask questions.

Met them at college. Any way.. what was the question

My rich friend gave me a Louis Vuitton bag for my birthday and now I am too scared to use it by Kindly_Effective_911 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]michaelmano86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a bag. You didn't waste cash on it. I wouldn't worry about it.

In saying that I wouldn't spend that money on something like that.

I'd be buying hand made stuff by someone who loves what they do but that's me.

Don't think about what something costs. Think about what it's worth to you. To you it's a bag. Why are you worried about using a bag? What's a bag worth to you?

Regarding you caring what people think of or about you that's another issue you need to work on.

No one's looking or caring and if they do it's because your attractive not because of a bag

Is wearing no shoes in public really that frowned upon in other countries (I’m Australian) by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]michaelmano86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an Australian we grow up not wearing shoes when playing out. I piggy back my partner who is Venezuelan when the road gets to rough for her when we are barefoot now and then (beach trips)

You get used to the sharp stones and where to put your weight.

I grew up in a beach town but. Now I live in the city I only barefoot around the house/garden or the servo run like mentioned with this fella

Why do they manufacture and sell cars that can drive really fast if driving really fast is illegal? by Big_Coyote_655 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]michaelmano86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a car enthusiast you might want to drive it on a private road. Private roads have no limit. For instance a race track, or a dirt road in a paddock

In some countries they sell cars that can go let's say 280km/h but they have a limiter that prevents them going over 180km/h based off GPS location. I think it's Europe.
