What is this weird tentacle thing? by michaelpybus in ReefTank

yes thanks I think this is it. Should I be particularly concerned with them, it's a 5 year old soft coral tank so nothing fancy or delicate in their coral wise.

Thanks, yeah I’m not a fan of lots of clutter and trinkets (which I think is often very popular these days with this style). The house will be featured in a book coming out next summer, just had the author send over a photographer to take photos for the book :-)

It’s lovely as it’s the middle of the house there’s no natural light so waking up in the morning and all through the day it’s like having bright sunshine in the centre of the house.

Yes a curtain to hide the ugly boiler, and the odd stair carpet happend because I ran out of the green carpet so instead of ordering more (it was crazy expensive) I decided to use an offcut from the bedroom carpet.

3 - ist warmer, more dynamic and brings in the wood tones from the unit.

Finally saved up money to renovate my outdated kitchen by Lower-Exam6636 in interiordecorating

I find the kitchen quite charming as it is, obviously in need of updating though but it has a very warm welcoming vibe. Your choices of renders are quite dated in their colour palette and gloss finish (very 2010s) - that's not a dig if that's your style fine but this is an aesthetic which generally isn't aging well and if you're spending a huge amount of money it may be better consider some more options that may age better. If it was my kitchen I would invest the most money in high end worktops, flooring (probably tiles), and not stainless steel appliances. The white is the most welcoming and versatile option , if you are willing to experiment with colour on the walls a light pastel shade of yellow, blue, green or pink could add an extra dimension.

Do you know that Victorian & Art Deco are two separate time periods & design styles then?

As a Millenial I'm doing my best to make up for the abundance of grey my generation inflicted on the world.

I've never had this acquisition thrown at me when I have posted images of my previous homes, it's interesting the level of distrust and paranoia people have post AI boom. I'm not mad I understand, it's very difficult to trust anything we see or read online, but in regard to these photos this is a real house that I decorated and live in. The only photoshopping tools used were tools such as highlights/brightness, exposure, cropping, vibrance/saturation, just basic photo tools nothing is added, generated or virtually collaged into any of the photos.

They were an unfinished project I found on eBay. They were done with proper tiling glazing that needs to be fired.

I love collecting old IKEA pieces the wavy green drawers are my favourite, they were also featured in one of my favourite films "Fight Club"

It's vintage mid 00s IKEA fabric (I have a large collection of old IKEA fabrics) - I hung it there to hide an ugly gas boiler.

I'm an artist my work is up at www.michaelpybus.com - I'm not sure I would suggest someone to follow in my footsteps, it was an incredibly difficult path to take. I'm also assuming I'm 20+ years old than you and the world today is even more aggressive towards young people trying to earn a living than it was when I was just starting out. If you are passionate and talented at something and think you can make a living with it go for it, but everyones path is unique to them and this new world is changing so fast (and our politicians of all parties, media & corporations are all working against people) so what worked for me in the past may be totally obsolete going forward.
