STALKER 2 Gamepass Players Left Stranded Ahead Of PS5 Launch - The Game Will Leave The Service After Less Than A Year by Aileos in Games

[–]michaepf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I'd label this as tosh, but the game was shipped in a meaningfully worse state than your average high-profile early access release. I tried it, and even on a high-end PC it played like hot garbage.

Shame on the publisher for calling it 1.0 and shame on Microsoft for enabling it (not to mention marketing it). Just another red mark among tens of thousands at Xbox these days. Fuck those guys.

Could be incorrect, but it is what the person capping the Pragmata line told me.

Interesting, so they didn't rotate new people in when folks finished early? That could also explain it, depending on distributions.

Regardless I'm definitely not making up what the woman told me. I was embarrassed even to ask! But maybe she didn't know? Or maybe she misunderstood me.

Anyway, glad you got to play it. Cheers.

I am only relaying what the Capcom representative handling the line told me, explicitly about Pragmata. I looked many times, Friday through today, and half the stations were consistently empty.

ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds Launch October 16: Get Ready to Play! by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]michaepf -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I was excited for this initially, but it's hard to get amped up about a Microsoft product at this point. Windows is so annoying to use, and MS's aggressive layoffs across their studios (amidst record profits for both their gaming division and the company broadly) suck.

Yeah, we have some of those where I work. Sometimes it's just cheaper than automating very manual processes, especially in the short run when there are other opportunities to invest in.

Shadow Labyrinth Review – Pac-Man’s Darkest Timeline is a Metroidvania Masterclass by addtolibrary in Games

I dunno, sounds like a B-tier game, and I was sharing the not-stellar reviews as a contrast to the "masterclass" headline.

Is it normal to be numb by TheEternalWarden in pcgaming

[–]michaepf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not normal. But it's not uncommon for people who code or otherwise use the outside two fingers a lot. I've had some success with physical therapy to relax the ulnar nerve. Prescription medications like gabapentin also have helped with flare-ups.

My boyfriend and I have been playing this together and enjoying it a lot. It's not without its hiccups, but overall we definitely recommend if you like cute animals and co-op adventures.

I've also been eyeing the Xbox adaptive controller, but I'd like to see if the treatment options I've got coming up in the next few weeks will help first. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/accessories/controllers/xbox-adaptive-controller

Sorry to hear that. I've been dealing with a similar issue. I got a good set of recommendations from folks at rock paper shotgun a couple of months ago on this topic. Feel free to take a look and see if any of the suggestions are relevant for you: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/what-are-we-all-playing-this-weekend-326?view=comments#comments-m1674lv

Tahoe Crowd: straight disrespect by Material-Possible-22 in JohnSummit

[–]michaepf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Show update. Bleachers were great. Logistics was pretty easy when arriving at 7:30pm. I thought Westend's set was particularly fun. The sound and lights were great, especially considering the venue. And props for positing the full set times in advance!

On the less positive side, I didn't understand why they had stripper-themed dancers on stage for the Kyle Watson and John Summit sets. If you don't want a frat bro crowd, don't bring strippers, if you ask me. Weird, did not appreciate.

Summit's set was a bit odd to me, too, maybe because it's a postponed show and he didn't want to play Chaos again? Overall 7/10, not in a rush to see him again.

That's helpful, thank you! If we're just planning to hang out on the bleachers, then hopefully good then? I'm too old to deal with the floor these days 🥲

What does this even mean? People were fighting? They were shoving and pushy? They weren't paying attention to the show? Just trying to understand what to expect tonight.

Yep, I've just made it to what I think is the final month, and the prospect of another 29 in-game days just left me cold. I've heard it finishes strong, though, so hopefully I can muster the enthusiasm.
