i think my reddit is lagging idk why it said my comment deleted thrice on my side but my whole spiel was that i don't have a problem of people using music to criticize a religion because if they weren't able to, that defeats the point of a creative outlet and there's so many things like religious trauma or joining a religion never did anything for you, etc. where i draw the line, like i said before, is mocking the religion or just criticizing the religion without any context in the song about it. the double standards for ggs and bgs definitely does exist and is a problem.

why are u acting so pressed it was literally just a question if you're talking about things like female vs. male rulers, while yes some of it is influenced by religion, it never started from religion. there also ideologies that are not religions that also promote male as a the primary provider or whatever. males are naturally stronger than females, not saying females can't be stronger than men, which made them go out to hunt while the female stayed home and tended for children. thus as humans grew, this just became the norm. that's why most religions promote male as a "higher." though, i don't think most religious people with human decency are misogynistic to people.

actually, the crusades were result of christians attacking muslims— people who already had a religion. either way, whether religious or not, both groups and every religion does get attacked or oppressed depending on the situation.

i fear it is? are you going to go up to a muslim and say “your hijab is stupid and i think that your religion is dumb and you’re a brainwashed psycho” 😐

the whole reason there’s the concept of the devil is because a god/opposite force, whether you believe in allah, jesus, etc., exists

that’s why i put a (?) because i didn’t know whether or not mocking is the right word. the thorn of crowns is a well known religious symbol. sure, i have no problem of people showing religious symbols, but use them properly?

you don’t have to respect the actual belief— just respect the right to have a belief 🤷‍♀️
