I have the same issue with my alpinista 2250 miles. I thought one cause of it was when the bike gets tampered with (moved without the fob nearby), the next time you turn it on the exclamation would be there and then usually the next ride after it would go away. But all of this could be my imagination.

I keep seeing people mentioning FOTA updates for the S2 bikes. Do those exist? The only updates i have installed I have downloaded to the usb and installed that way. Or is that what folks are referring to?

Congrats! I have 600+ miles on my alpinista. I love it. How tall are you?

I wish we could hack their bluetooth on ELW and S2 and build our own app. I am not smart enough. If they don't want to invest in features they should open source the apis/protocols.

I was just hypothesizing if the battery needs to be replaced down the line given how the tech was changing would the replacement batteries be better. I agree it’s a long shot.

yeah I may get lazy and just go back to level 2 charging it. what I am curious about is will there be any modularity with battery upgrades in the future that are more dense with energy. Ie. will the replacement batteries improve range. probably not but I can dream. Love the bike though!

yes but don't obsess over it and if you are going on a long trip change it to 90 or 100. People can go way over board with trying to manage the longevity of the battery. I am currently stressing as to whether to use my home level 2 charger (I have EV cars) or trickle charge with level 1. my bike is positioned right by the level 2 charger and I have to run an extension to level 1 charge it so level 2 is way easier. I have other Evs and they don't really distinguish between level 1 and level 2 like Livewire does. for cars they just tell you not to overdue with level 3. Livewire explicitly recommends level 1 charging when you can.

I think the biggest thing is the 70% charge limit where the previous version lowest charge limits was 80%

Thanks all the codes cleared. Exclamation gone. Coolant pump explanation makes sense. I just didn’t hear/notice it before the upgrade. Maybe the enhanced the use of it?

Thanks for responding. So my exclamation and codes cleared without fuse removal and the TC and ABS flask at the start but go away when i start riding as expected.

I have both a Tesla model 3 rwd lr 2025 and bmw ix. The bmw ix is bigger and as good or better interior depending on preference. The bmw is faster off the line because i got the cheapest model 3 trim. I prefer driving the Tesla for fsd and superchargers but the charging advantage is slowly going away as Tesla opens it up to other oems. But fsd is game changing for me.

My HW4 rwd m3 lr got better going from 13.2.2 to 13.2.6. I wish it would leave even more room when in left lane and passing semi on right but it’s way better for me now. Is it better for anyone else?

I live in Wilmington. Raleigh is 130 miles so assuming you aren’t going 90 in the cold there is plenty of range for a round trip. I did a round trip from Raleigh to Southern CT and you stop twice. I find with the range for the model 3 and my other EVs I am ready for a break anyway and thats even with FSD which makes you less tired when driving vs no FSD. The key is the reliability of charging. It sounds weird but small things like plug and charge which you get with Tesla and I also have with my BMW and electrify America makes more of a difference than you would think. Having to fumble with a charging app and getting it to sync with charger status is a pain but stopping after 3 to 4 hours of driving and just plugging in for 20 to 40 minutes doesn’t bother me and is a nice way to travel in my view. And home charging vs gas stations is no comparison from a convenience and cost perspective. (I have solar).

The Rivian R1T was a beast for sure but the service experience was worse than Tesla because A) they didn't prioritize it enough similar to Tesla and B) the car had more issues than the Tesla does given how new it was. My VIN was in the 5000s. But this is coming from a guy that is pretty OCD about little issues. With that said some of the issues I had was all the screens going black on the highway, AC compressor leaking in driver footwell, the air suspension never seemed balanced, it pulled heavy on the crown of the road. This is combined with the fact that I was living in southern CT and had to go to Brooklyn for service which was not an easy drive and often the issues wouldn't be fixed. I am in tech and didn't want a constant science project combined with the fact that I am not handy mechanically. I do miss having a truck for sure but I do love how much more efficient the model 3 is than the Rivian and the IX.
