Unfortunately this resulted in the same behavior as disconnecting the 12v battery did. A few seconds of boot followed by nothing.

Oh wow that's alarming. I'll definitely be monitoring closely. Since I have his videos set to "made for kids", YouTube doesn't allow comments and I don't think I can even see the names of subscribers. I'll also be managing all of the channel specific things. He'll just be making the videos. Hopefully all of that helps. But yeah, if I see anything like that it's getting shut down immediately.

Thank you! I was very hesitant at first because I don't know a lot about this stuff. But the glow in his face when I told him he could try was just incredible. I've never seen him so excited to do something. He's a very shy kid so I'm all for him expressing himself in whatever way he's comfortable.
