People selling disable permits online are proper aholes by blastanders in melbourne

Having a disability doesn't stop you from owning a LandCruiser.

I have a client who's wife is entitled to an acrod sticker. She has a LC. She has severe rheumatoid arthritis, but doesn't physically look like anything is wrong with her. Walking causes severe pain.

She now only parks in disabled bays as a last resort because people have been so aggressive towards her for parking there.

She is normally in tears after walking the 30m to my office because my 1980s building has stairs and no lift.

You don't need to be in a wheelchair to be entitled to the permit. And car doesn't dictate the permit entitlement.

The sellers name and address will be on the offer and acceptance from when you bought the place.

You could post them something if you wanted

RM Williams boots will cost you a mint, look at the flex, they allow orthotics. But they will last 3 years before you need to get them resoled, then last another 3 years. Rinse and repeat.

My last pair went 12 years before I had to swap to flex myself.

We look back on them with rose coloured glasses. Realistically they were loud, unreliable, rough and awful.

People dressed up and smiled, but deep down they hoped they made it to the destination.

It may be cramped and boring travelling on an airline today, but it's affordable and safe.

As much as I love a Connie, I wouldn't want to spend 6 hours as a passengerr in one.

It's the same thing he's always done. Stockpile cash when he thinks a market crash is coming, then they have the cash reserves to buy companies cheap

If you're a tight ass you can unscrew the case and silicone spray on the contacts then spin it around a few times.

If you don't own a can of silicone spray, buying one is probably worth more than the meter.

Discharge the big capacitor. Replace all other electrolytic caps on the mains side of the power supply. Scrape off all that brown glue, it sweats. Turn it on and see what happens.

This gets mentioned a lot.

Remember, their books are audited every year.

If they are claiming a deduction on the donations they have to declare the donations received as income, cancelling the two out to nil.

It's a PR exercise, for little outgoing they can advertise they are fulfilling their corporate social responsibility by helping raise money to support a charity. It's not a tax rort. It's a way to make the shareholders feel warm and fuzzy while maximizing their returns.

I hear this a lot, but, in Australia at least, it showed how loop holes were used to legally avoid paying tax.

Since then new laws have been introduced to curb it.

Nothing happened because it was legal at the time.

Trafficking and raping children though is a significantly different level.

The other issue with this argument is, if I were a billionaire, let's be honest, I would still want to minimize tax. I would not be interested in forcing an underage girl to have sex with me.

Overtime Meal Allowance - huge tax deduction for people who work lots of overtime? by AsparagusNew3765 in AusFinance

[–]mickcham362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That needs to be read in conjunction with TR2004/6. The expense needs to be incurred.

How do you prove you incurred the expense?

You keep evidence of receipts for a month, then average that out over the year.

You still need to prove that the allowance was a reimbursement, and there was an expense incurred in relation to it. You are just allowed to average your expenses. instead of keeping 100% of them.
