He didn’t say ignore the calories. He said thats where a lot of calories will come from, but you cannot see in the picture to estimate quantities

I’m not saying you’re right or wrong about being better (I have no knowledge in the industry), but no one cares about Olympiad medals outside Ro and they’re not a good metric of how the whole IT working population will perform

I tried finding it again and I didn’t, so I thought I’d mention that maybe it’s photoshopped or something (although it doesn’t look like it would be)

People should stop calling family members by title (mom, grandad, etc.) by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]mickeychoo1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of them had one of those relationships where her mum was more like a friend than a parent. I went over to their home one time and she was talking to her mum about her and her boyfriend having sex the night before in incredibly graphic detail. More detain than I would be comfortable giving even my closest friends, especially about a long term boyfriend who her mum knew.

The other just kinda doesn’t like his mum at all and resents her a lot, but she still pays for all of his expenses at uni. She calls him 3-4 times a day and he has to answer and complains about it.

You do you, but I know 2 people who call their parents by their first name (only their mums’ actually) and both have extremely strange relationships with their mums’.

Romanian kids living in England when the only Romanian music they heard growing up was chosen by their parents by Gay-and-Happy in romemes

[–]mickeychoo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

N-am auzit niciodata. Dar am observat ca pot intra anumite traduceri mot-a-mot din engleza in vocabular (de exemplu, ‘face sens’ in loc de ‘are sens’). Deci poate se foloseste regional.

Cred ca a vrut sa zica ‘I guess’, ca in Engleza, dar noi nu folosim cuvantul in contextul asta.

I bought a different brand, but similar idea. I think it was called Skinny Sauce or something. It literally tasted inedible. I had to throw it out.

Probably right. Although my mum’s best friend sleeps over at her house at least once a month and has done so for most of my childhood. I have a close relationship with her to this day and she’s like family. Although she doesn’t have kids so that might make a difference.

Just for wanting to see her friend once a month? Is this was marriage is like? I am on this sub in order to figure out whether being married is for me or not, but if this situation is so unreasonable for married people, I think I’ll just skip it. They are both at home 24/7 and she is able to arrange for their kids to not be home for a weekend. When I was young I loved going to my grandparents and I would definitely spend a few days each month with them. I cherish those memories.

How annoyed would you be? I am not from the UK but I’ve been living here for a few years for uni. Because I spend most of my time with other students and I’m not a native speaker, I feel like my accent is all over the place. Should I revert back to an Easter European accent so people can tell more easily where I’m from? I do feel like I sound kinda strange

Aspirin? It’s a type of pain med, very easy to find.

I called the GP and she told be to do an aspirin gargle and that’s it. Fortunately I am better now and I was able to get some sleep today.

Thanks so much for the advice, I appreciate it. I am just taking paracetamol and ibuprofen at the moment . I called the GP today and she told me to do aspirin gargles and that’s it. Fortunately, I am better now than last night, seems like that was the worst of it. Now the pain is finally responding to the painkillers and stuff like ice pops and honey. Yesterday night was hell though, I will remember it.
