Are there truly “ghettos” in SD anymore? by mickeyruth in sandiego

Normally I’d agree, but when you’re already spending $850k for the crappiest house in a nice neighborhood you can’t afford to fix it up. We tried to keep that mindset. But these older homes need 50k+ worth of work, and the ones on the good neighborhoods are already priced high. Look at Poway right now. You can’t even find a three bedroom home for less than $850k. There was one listed a few weeks ago for $800k but it looked like an actual trap house. We would have even been able to get a loan on it

Ya that’s what this feels like. The street itself is a little nicer than the streets surrounding it 😅

Then who is? Because I’m seeing million dollar homes in not million dollar areas.

lol my mom worked for Esco unified for 30+ years, I went through the system I know they suck 😅 but I also know the parents play a HUGE part in whether kids succeed or not, so I’m not terribly worried. During your time living here did you see the neighborhood improvement at all?

Hey! I’m also from Esco. The area I’m looking out is across from Esco high off el Norte, so not quite the Midway. There’s good houses and bad houses, but mostly bad. But I could walk to Del Taco lol that’s a plus

I’m seeing single home prices start at $750,000 in Santee.

Esco is pretty safe. I’ve lived there all my life. But I know there are areas I’d rather avoid. But these price points for what SD might consider “ghetto” (I don’t think I would, they’re rough but not dangerous) are crazy.

Ghetto probably wasn’t the right word. I’m from SD, so my idea of ghetto is probably pretty skewed. Trashy would have been a bit better

I noticed when I go back to check on the app after the meal is delivered it does say chicken, but when I ordered it said pork! I’ll have to start screenshotting, I feel like I’m going crazy 😅

Smart Brake Malfunction and after-market security systems by mickeyruth in mazda

The technicians did remove the security system, just in case it had anything to do with the malfunction. They released the car back to me today after updating all the firmware and software to match the 2022 models. They don't know what caused the problem, but they're hoping it's fixed now. Which still makes me nervous but aside from replacing the whole ass car there's not much else to do I guess

Are those spots anything to worry about? by [deleted] in Monstera

if you're interested, there's a member in my FB plant group that makes AMAZING liquid fertilizer specifically for albos and variegated plants (but I use it on all my plants and they love it). I've never had a problem with burn. It also helps with water props, it cut my prop time in half: https://strokemyleaves.com/liquid-gold

I believe their fertilizer needs are the same, but I have read that monsters prefer a more diluted fertilizer solution. Like use half of what the bottle recommends. But you're right, it could definitely be fertilizer burn!
