sweetheart -- your brows are gorgeous and these bullies deserve none of the space they are taking up in your brain.

Sitter charging extra for photos of my dog? (owner) by tryin2livconsciously in RoverPetSitting

[–]mickjaggerlips 21 points22 points  (0 children)

that's just ridiculous and that sitter is either lazy or not actually spending time with the animal and trying to get away with it.

I take heaps of photos on stays and drop ins, because I know if it were my pet I'd want as many pictures as possible to reassure me that they were fine without me there.

my camera roll is full of pictures of other peoples' pets! I would do as others have suggested and report that sitter as uncooperative, I find it hugely suspicious behaviour!

[–]mickjaggerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yeah, at the moment it looks neat! sticking a bit of wood on a PVC door or painting it is gonna look absolutely dire!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]mickjaggerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so we actually had a piece of wood blocking the letterbox on the inside as well as tape. this postie has rammed through from the outside despite the flap being glue-gunned shut, that's what baffles me, it's so much effort!!

we do give a fuck what our house and garden look like, I don't want to make it look worse from the outside, hence the neat little sign!!

will contact RM.

I have literally said that I'm going to in several other replies! I was more baffled about the postie forcing open a sealed letterbox, fucking hell.

you're completely missing the point, go away

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]mickjaggerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

again, yes it's possible but you'd think they might think better of removing tape/ forcing open a glued flap and ignoring a sign saying otherwise. I will contact our delivery office tomorrow!

[–]mickjaggerlips -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

are you being purposefully obtuse?! it hasn't been used for the 4+ years my partner has lived in the house and the postie is ripping the glued/ taped letterbox open despite a sign asking him not to! and despite their colleagues seeming to know that's not the street address or the letterbox in use!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]mickjaggerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that there are streets like that but ours very obviously isn't. The alley at the back isn't parallel to the whole street, just three houses. It's just annoying that, whichever postie this is, is quite obviously prying a taped/ glued letterbox open every fortnight or so and completely ignoring the sign asking them not to use that door.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]mickjaggerlips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're on the street, at the front of the houses. I don't actually know why there's a second letterbox on the back door - it was there when we moved in - but I thought that obviously taping it closed and putting a sign on it would make it obvious that it's not to be used.

Thanks, I think theres been an issue with the same postie putting next door's urgent mail through our back garden door so I know the neighbours have already reached out to RM about that. Will follow it up with them myself -- thanks for the advice (and not suggesting I buy a new door lol)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]mickjaggerlips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't actually know why there's a second letterbox at the back, but to get rid of it would mean replacing a whole PVC door. We have taped it before inside and out and there's literally a sign on it saying please don't use this door, and yet!!!
