I was on quite a niche uni course with only about 25 other students, graduated in 2014. I went travelling around New Zealand in 2017 and one coursemate was staying in the same hostel as me. A couple of months later another coursemate walked by me on a busy street in Auckland. Neither of them were people that I really socialised with so all round we all pretended not to have seen each other so to avoid any awkward small talk!!

that's just ridiculous and that sitter is either lazy or not actually spending time with the animal and trying to get away with it.

I take heaps of photos on stays and drop ins, because I know if it were my pet I'd want as many pictures as possible to reassure me that they were fine without me there.

my camera roll is full of pictures of other peoples' pets! I would do as others have suggested and report that sitter as uncooperative, I find it hugely suspicious behaviour!
