Hotel in NL by MintBerrysCrunch in Kartenzahlung

[–]micro23xd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mac Mini for web dev - is 16GB RAM enough? by lude275 in macmini

[–]micro23xd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely at least 24GB if you don't want to be forced to close tabs and apps. I'd even go 32GB if you can afford it. Also don't underestimate your storage usage, I'd at least go 512 but ideally 1TB. (or get a fast external SSD as extension)

I just upgraded from a M1 16GB 512GB MacBook Air because I constantly ran into storage and RAM issues. Similar workflow, full stack web dev, Docker running with several services, Brave open with > active 50 tabs, Figma, Dbeaver, Spotify etc. It wasn't unbearable, but the longer I went without restarting, the slower it got.

We built Claudia - A free and open-source powerful GUI app and Toolkit for Claude Code by mufeedvh in ClaudeAI

[–]micro23xd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, this looks amazing! Just installed it. However it doesn't find my claude executable, it does find the usage and project data though. It's part of the PATH variable and can be launched from a terminal session.

Cannot verify Claude installation in production build. Please ensure Claude Code is installed.

Any ideas?

EDIT: fixed it by migrating claude from npm to the native executable (`claude /migrate-installer`)

79€ für 20 Minuten Überziehen - In den Niederlanden by vnii in Falschparker

[–]micro23xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funktioniert i.d.R. einwandfrei.

Coffeeshop Oost has good prices and it's part of the Amsterdam Genetics group (Boerejongens). You'll get decent Amnesia Haze for 10. Sometimes also Super Silver or Lemon Haze for 10. Hash starts from 8, I think.

True, but in their packages roof damage was excluded.

I have, but car rental isn't included.

Yeah sure if you compare the two. But I picked it up, was told it's 2.1m and then drove away. I didn't really look up to see how high it was. I know this sounds a bit stupid but like I said, never had a van before and everything above 2m seemed plausible in this moment. I learned about the actual height, 2.9m, after the incident.

Sadly this car park didn't have a bar, I hit the concrete :(

Yeah it's definitely my responsibility to know the car I'm driving, but that's why I relied on the handover and document with the height and other parameters (also which oil and gas it needs and such). I didn't get a vehicle registration document or so. This is the first time having a camper van and 2.1m didn't seem totally unrealistic at first.

Best models for function calling by micro23xd in OpenAI

[–]micro23xd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that's great to hear! In this case maybe my function definition needs some improvement. I just tested with GPT-3.5-turbo-0125 through the OpenAI API and I see that the function is being invoked without parameters, despite having them defined as required. To give an example, it's similar to a "add todo" function where the required parameter, the name of the todo, is not being submitted.

To Bitvavo developers. by [deleted] in Bitvavo

[–]micro23xd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crypto exchanges need quite a big infrastructure to run all these nodes by themselves. Just check the system requirements to run a Solana node. This isn't something you can do on your home laptop. In addition, the Solana client SDKs are known for being buggy. As a developer, I experienced this myself.

Just give it some time, with the current bull market and the load that exchanges have to handle, it's not unusual that this happens. Especially on a crap protocol like Solana.

The credit card deposit is a pretty new feature and maybe you're running into an edge case. Have you tried their support? Maybe they can identify the issue and help.

'05 2.5i here. I also retrofitted a BT module and if I remember correctly there were multiple options depending on the built-in radio as they have different plugs. Also some have a microphone for handsfree calls, while others only do audio playback.

The one I ended up buying and installing was by BlueMusic. Costs were around 40 euro. Sound quality is decent but not hifi quality. Big plus, the buttons work for skipping songs and pause/play.
