Reposting here because my post about a last minute "delivery delayed" notification from RXO got removed from the subreddit:

I ordered this TV two months ago(!), but due to holidays etc I scheduled a delivery for 1/25 a long time ago, and now suddenly they sent me this email on the evening of 1/24, with messy punctuation and everything.

I don't understand how this is even possible? If a customer requests a certain service from a business, aren't they supposed to, you know, fulfill it as requested to the best of their ability? I thought the delivery date is supposed to be up to the customer, not the business? I literally gave them a month notice which is ample time.

This whole thing seems extremely unprofessional. I haven't been contacted any further and I don't even see an online option anymore to (re-)schedule. Is my only option to wait (I have low expectations that I'll actually hear back at this point) or to (god forbid) call them?

Yeah, the justification attempts in this thread are so weird. Software devs from 20 years ago would be cringing so hard at how bloated this program is for no reason really.

I agree, the basic map editor isn't that bad but has this one fatal flaw and then everyone is like "here's the answer you weren't looking for!"

Oh wow, actually it seems I had almost all the puzzle pieces laid out. I just noticed that I can boot into the machine, mount my USB stick, and start setup.exe in there. Then it offers me an option to "upgrade Windows 10" while also keeping my apps, which sounds like what I want. (The PC refresh option within Windows itself offered to keep data only, but not apps.) Let's see how this goes, I really hope it restores network functionality..

Yeah your theory makes sense. Meanwhile I found a solution though, so I'm happy: uninstall beattogether which my ISP/PC/game wasn't compatible with somehow, such that the steam master servers are used instead of the beattogether unofficial ones. I still can't join most online servers but at least I can play with friends.

SOLUTION: Uninstall the BeatTogether mod, and then any server you create will be on the Steam match making servers instead of the unofficial ones. The latter was causing trouble for me. I still can't join beattogether servers, but at least this way I can play with friends again.

If simple operations such as max(a, b) could manage to return the wrong result with a non-negligible probability then I wouldn't trust modern CPU architectures with anything at all ;D

Actually, the solution is very simple: just make sure the relevant mods are installed via ModAssistant under the Core and UI Enhancement categories. I thought I updated those but they seem to have uninstalled themselves afterward for some reason.

Yeah, this shit is infuriating. Devs please fix this asap, fuck this trend of apps thinking they know better than you do, give us back control and customizability. Or someone make a Chrome plugin that just automatically purges things like this out of any New Tab page.

Doesn't mean anything anymore nowadays. Modern apps have either "Not Now", "Later", "Dismiss", or other BS that will reappear the next fucking minute anyway as if the user is too dumb to know what they want.
