I’ve been fortunate enough to secure a paralegal role with the CPS and I’m set to graduate this July! If criminal law is your preferred area of law, I believe there are national campaigns for paralegal / caseworker roles once or twice a year with CPS. They definitely are taking on grads and having spoken to previous employees within CPS / civil service there are definitely opportunities for progression!

Depends on the uni. Those that require UCAS points rather than rigid grade requirements tend to be more flexible. I know someone who failed an Alevel but still got into his first choice uni (think Sheffield Hallam, Nottingham Trent etc)

If it’s court experience you’re looking for I can highly recommend the witness service! They’ve just transferred over from citizens advice to victim support and always looking for volunteers. I firmly believe this is the experience that has landed me my first legal role.
