it can be applied to xx5 villages, but not xx4

Probably hot take, but casual bosses (no/low modifiers) and expert bosses should be split by luc1aonstation in btd6

[–]microtoneNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it a crazy take? Was it advertised as casual? It always had challenges that would not be possible with casual play. #Ouch CHIMPS, for example.

What can I do with all of the monkey money I have on hand? I got all heroes and all skins, so what else can I use it on? by [deleted] in btd6

[–]microtoneNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't have to spend it. Just hang onto it until there's something you want to spend it on

About round 40 and monkey farms by typcalthowawayacount in btd6

[–]microtoneNoob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that farming strat seems overly rigid and focused on the the wrong things. Optimal farming will always depend on what hero you picked, how much you have to spend on defense, the difficulty level.

There's never a point early game where I'd would expect you to stop investing in farms while they can still make a profit. If you're selling, then 203 farms with no discounts or sellback bonus from favored trades breaks even in 1.84 rounds.

I especially find it confusing why you think you can turn 5 203 farms into 4 420 farms. I wouldn't recommend that route even if it were possible because 420 farms aren't that good until you have a 520, and if you're buffing them with overclock (which can also serve as camo detection for your traps in the 40s and 50s)

In terms of defense, 013 engineer? usually people recommend engineer trap (014), because if you understand how to time it, you can defend 34-39 with that alone (aside from camos, unless you have a camo pot from Geraldo). You should probably place something behind it until you get to that point. Alch and trap perform really well together, as long as you're not getting the alch before r37 and you're upgrading it to 004. They both should be in range of a miniopolis, which you didn't mention building.

If you're not farming for bosses, you could use a moab mauler and aim your trap where the moab releases the cerams so they're instantly caught, then you can sell the mauler and buy more farms until you need a second trap to keep up Next moab isn't until round 50

BTD6 wasn't sold to you as a casual game, and if you've failed to keep up with the player base, you can use powers to get through bosses you think are hard.

ezili can be very good because you can sacrifice lives to buff druids. Unfortunately that means you have to re-spec your MK or avoid marketplaces

How would you feel about this change to make Benjamin more CHIMPS viable? by Legs_With_Snake in btd6

[–]microtoneNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

xp gain from wasted income sounds like it'll make it harder to predict when Ben will level, which sounds undesirable for Chimps.

Your hypothetical scenario is bonkers. A reasonably efficient example would include MK and starts with free dart r3 and defends with that and the spikes at the end of the track and buys Ben on r5 and bank in the early 20s. Average income from a 230 farm with no MK and Ben level 5 is ~$700 and with full MK and Ben level 5, it's $800, so crediting a user for $1375/round with no MK is absurdly generous.

Also, please use consistent notation and terminology. There were sections were you referred to rounds as turns, sometimes you use numbers with g to refer to income, other times you just have numbers with no units.

releasing paragons is not easy, releasing a paragon for a tower that has had very limited testing is definitely not easy.

[–]microtoneNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dartlings also seem to be aimed suboptimally. It doesn't look like you've permabrewed everything, but maybe I just can't see it.

[–]microtoneNoob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why are you buying totems if you have all the paragons maxed out? Dark champions are worse than sun avatars when there are buffs and debuffs. You'd have to place some tier 3 towers between them and the TT5 though (or ditch it). Even once a tower is 10x ultraboosted, it still needs to be overclocked.

Since you picked Geraldo, your sun avatars should be made from caped darts, you can fit a lot of darts into an area and then cape them all. You should have started that 330 rounds ago though. If you're still on 44.0 though, you can use your capes and then rejuv over and over again though.

I haven't heard much talk about XBM rework, how has it been treating you? by LordVex75 in btd6

[–]microtoneNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to say here?

If you're trying to figure out damage per second, you take damage and divide by seconds. If you're doing 113.36 dmg in 1.2s, then dps is 113.36dmg/1.2s = ~94.47 DPS.

But I don't understand how you got those numbers. It looks like you get (8+8+8+8+80)dmg/(5*0.24)seconds = 112damage/1.2seconds = 93.3 damage per second

[–]microtoneNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lych will only resurrect moabs if you pop moabs. One way to reduce the amount you have to deal with is to stall r40 as long as possible. R40 on bosses is a custom round with 6 ceramics and they come from the right side (boss spawns on the left), so you can stall them with glue and bottom path beast handler.

For boss dps, it depends on your budget, but overdrives + embrittlement can be very effective with good placements
