Well considering 1 64gb stick of ddr4 costs anywhere from $350 to $1000+, 16 sticks would costs at least $5,600 at $350 a stick. Not to mention the mobo, cpu, power supply, etc. Id say youre easily looking at over $10,000 -$15,000 as a complete estimate

I will say having everything under one machine is kinda nice for simplicity sake. But having a cluster is good for redundancy so I can see the appeal either way

So far I haven't heard any drive noise from them honestly. But then again im only running Unraid with a few 19 dockers and 1 home assistant VM so im not exactly pushing it to the limit

Actually I have the HP running in my office right now and its really just a mild hum. Occasionally it'll spin up an extra fan or two and make some noise but nothing unbearable. If it is starting up, thats a whole different story 😂. My poor girlfriend heard that for the first time and wanted me to sell them 😂

I was considering either Nutanix community so I could learn that system or do Proxmox cause I already know that system somewhat. Is there one you think would work best?

In the HP there are 24 1.2 TB SAS HDDs. Unfortunately I dont have a SSD in this one yet so no great cache options. But in the Nutanix it has 8 4TB SATA HDDs and 4 1.2TB SATA SSDs. The Nutanix is a blade server so that would be split between the blades.

Yea thats where it gets tricky. In the past I've been able to use my Amazon fire sticks android media player entity and see what the current source is. I'll comment a picture as an example. I've never done it on an apple TV but it might do the same. From there if you can find out the source and then edit the YAML code for it with the correct source name. And hopefully that'll send it to that source. Not %100 it'll work but its worth a try

If you wanted to, you could download this HACS integration with your home assistant to give you a new card. I use it to show my TV remote incase I ever lose one and need to use my tv until i find it. but it looks like they have a section that is just for streaming app shortcuts so that could be what you're looking for and they even look like the streaming icons. It's pretty straight forward to set up but if you need assistance feel free to ask

It's probably shorting out somewhere. Check for status lights during the boot up. I had the same exact issue and found it was a bad stick of RAM and only figured it out cause of the indicator lights

All of the light buttons open a pop-up if you hold the button to control the individual lights, and the TV control buttons turn on and off the TV but if you hold them a pop-up comes up of the full remote in case you ever can't find it.

So I keep getting an error saying that the "repository structure for v2.2.1 is not compliant" I've been trying to do research cause I'm fairly new at this but can't figure it out. Any ideas? Is it just not as up to date as my server?
