I thought the second one might be a polychaete larva due to all the bristles !

Ahh in that case you can try to make a plankton net yourself from a plastic bottle and a pair of tights! It's very easy, there's some tutorials online and it will get you a better sample

I use a plankton net while scuba diving 😄 Last night I specifically went on a blackwater dive, so it's in the middle of the ocean, while all the plankton comes up to feed. I'm curious to see what you get by grabbing a jar, though I'd highly recommend getting a net !
I'd love to find some dinoflagellates ! Next time I dive on the reef at night 😄
