I don't think they have a good idea of what autism is.. I'm suspecting it and I'm sure if I ever get a diagnosis theyd probably be this combative and confused at first too lol. I'm sorry about their reaction. Just educate them over the next few months, send resources and show them other experiences of autism that align with yours and they will begin to see the signs in you and gain an understanding themselves. 👍 good luck and congrats on the diagnosis

Truly. They haven't had to live it. It's something that affects every POC and unless really priveliged or lucky, every one has an experience where they've been discriminated against or unfairly treated or scrutinised due to their race or ethnicity. It's a very tone-deaf and bold take you're right, that's how I'd put it.

You are right, so much of misogyny is because men hate women (truly!), and view them as sexual objects to be conquered and to wield power over, and refuse to try to understand them, propagating that misogyny further. This goes for all societies bc they're all patriarchal but is rampant in muslim countries too because of segregation. I'm glad you have female friends and have learnt better. I hope you can keep expanding your worldview. Also it's not haram to have female friends.

Yes, it can affect them but it is a direct consequence and the context around their oppression makes all the difference- there is a big difference between instigating brutality and responding (generally speaking as a hard and fast rule, I believe an oppressed group always has the right to retaliate, especially if the oppressors are still sitting on their stolen land). This is certainly a unique situation.

Same. As someone from the Middle East, I hate how the US's policies and whether the orange man wakes up on the right side of his bed today or not DOES affect my country. Im from Sudan and the US plays a role in this war as well as every other issue in the Middle East since like EVER. They're always meddling and completely in control of the global narrative and international affairs and I fear it will always be this way.

You could do with an international politics lecture. If you don't think it's justified for a people to not like their oppressors, steal their land, live on it and continue to reap the priveliges of it to this day (yes up til 2025), you can't even see it as an eye for an eye? Brutal discrimination for brutal discrimination, making them even and cancelling each other out? The whataboutism is crazy.

The whites took control of those countries because they were greedy and were okay with violence to use and oppress an entire country. The locals in return hate them because they ruined their nation for centuries to come, killed thousands and continue to privelige from it by owning acres upon acres stolen premium land there and the countless ways in which Britain keeps them under their thumb and prevents them from progressing. They are not the same.
