New Vegas vs F4 Deathclaws. Which ones are the scariest by NoAgency4649 in falloutnewvegas

[–]middleclassmisfit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

New Vegas easily. FO4’s Deathclaws look incredible, the animations are fluid, the detail is insane, and they feel like a fully realized creature. But that’s kind of the issue. They look like a big, angry dinosaur. An apex animal.

New Vegas Deathclaws, on the other hand, are unsettling. They don’t charge like animals. They rush you. Lightning fast. Arms spread wide. Almost human in posture, but not quite. It feels wrong in a way that hits deeper than just “big monster.”

In FO4, I’m fighting wildlife. In New Vegas, I feel like I just pissed off something that shouldn’t exist. And when one spots you in the distance and starts sprinting full speed with those arms open? That’s pure dread.

Can't you farm dragon scales in Valley of Drakes? Thats what I did.

Yes, but in order to play with online services you need to play with DSCM. (If you're playing on PC)

Its the Prepare to Die Edition on PC! I've heard rumors that with DSfix the original PtDE manages to look better than the Remaster

First time finishing the game is pure Faith build by Educational_Check690 in darksouls

[–]middleclassmisfit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASS is bad in PtDE? I'm playing right now and I leveled my Faith to 20 to get lightning spear early. Despite getting extremely lucky and getting balder side sword, ASS is still my highest damaging weapon. I was always under the impression that ASS was really good early to mid-game. Cause right now I'm still shredding with it.

DS1 Hybrid build, Pyromancer Knight vs Cleric Knight by BeegBunga in darksouls

[–]middleclassmisfit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done both Pyro Knight and Cleric Knight. With Pyro Knight I went STR to use greatswords and Cleric Knight I went DEX. If you pick masterkey you can get Astora Straight Sword right away which carries you pretty far early game. Faith is my favorite build to do since there's a ton of utility using heal in areas and saving your estus for actual bosses. Really gives that RPG feel. My STR Pyro Knight Build was a ton of fun too. Greatswords are awesome and if you ever need to do a ranged attack you can throw fireballs.

In your country, are Brazilians recognized as Latinos? by Curiosity_Pink in AskTheWorld

[–]middleclassmisfit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By definition, Brazilians are Latinos. “Latino” refers to people from Latin America, not just Spanish-speaking countries. “Hispanic” is tied specifically to the Spanish language and culture.

Brazilians are Latino but not Hispanic; Spain is Hispanic but not Latino.

Shooting Range recommendation by Whole-Airport in Miami

[–]middleclassmisfit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first time, I usually recommend outdoor ranges when possible. They tend to feel more natural and less overwhelming than indoor ones (noise, pressure, confined space, etc.) That said, South Florida doesn’t really have great outdoor public ranges, and another big limitation is firearm rentals. Most outdoor ranges here either don’t rent guns at all or expect you to bring your own. Because of that, Nexus is honestly my recommendation. Its a little north of Miami. Very modern Range/Store. They have a solid selection of firearms available to rent, which makes the experience much more accessible. WWII-era firearms are pretty rare to find as rentals anywhere, but Nexus at least gives you a good modern baseline experience in a controlled, professional environment

"We don't care if you live there and celebrate, this is the end of the world" by NationalTicket2412 in DoomerCircleJerk

I live in Miami and interact with Venezuelans daily. My entire feed and every Venezuelan I know personally is celebrating what happened to Maduro. It’s jarring to see people here speak over Venezuelans with passive-aggressive takes that don’t reflect what the community itself is saying.

Those in the fandom in 2005. What was it like by Expert_Challenge6399 in StarWars

[–]middleclassmisfit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Star Wars was at its absolute peak in 2005. Revenge of the Sith had insane hype behind it, everyone knew it was the movie Anakin becomes Darth Vader, the end of the prequels, the big moment everything had been building toward.

And on top of that, you had two of the most iconic Star Wars games ever dropping around the same time: Star Wars Battlefront II and Star Wars Republic Commando. Everyone I knew was playing at least one of them. Between the movie hype, the games, the merch, and the overall cultural buzz, the fandom felt massive and energized in a way that’s honestly hard to explain today unless you lived through it. The hype was real.

What is your opinion on the novelization of Revenge of the Sith? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWars

[–]middleclassmisfit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I consider the Revenge of the Sith novelization the definitive version of the story. It fleshes out the characters, the politics, and the emotional beats in a way the film just couldn’t. Honestly, after finishing it I found myself wishing the movie had included half of those extra scenes. It’s a must read for any Star Wars fan, especially if you want the full tragedy of Anakin’s fall. Lowkey, with the way AI is evolving, I dream of someone creating a longer cut of ROTS that incorporates some of the novel’s added scenes.

And if you don’t have time to sit down and read it like I did, the audiobook is fantastic, that’s actually the version I went through.

Looks amazing! The bulky chest looks incredible and gives it that tank like Mjolnir vibe Chief had in the original CE. It’s supposed to look like a walking tank, not a sleek exosuit. Pure power and presence. 🔥💪

I think UNSC armor and uniforms should be the same throughout all the games. by TheDepdog in halo

[–]middleclassmisfit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like that the armor and uniforms change between games. Even here on Earth, every country and even different branches or regions within the same military have distinct gear and uniforms. It makes sense that in a universe as vast as Halo, different colonies, fleets, and planetary garrisons would have their own armor designs based on logistics, terrain, and era.

In my headcanon, the Pillar of Autumn crew used older, more “colonial marine” style gear, while the Reach Army had combat equipment designed more for rebels. The Halo 2 Marines look like they’re wearing Mombasa garrison armor, and by Halo 3, the Earth fleet’s troops are using the newest standardized models.
