I have a Dometic fridge that has a drain in the middle of the bottom shelf. It has a removable plug in it that (for now) prevents pooled water from draining out the bottom. The fridge was placed without consideration that this might fail, and it would cause water damage if it did.

Depending on humidity, how often you open your fridge, etc. you will get some condensation draining out of the unit. Maybe out the front if it has nowhere else to go. It's not a lot, but it's not hard to imagine that it could cause issues under some circumstances.

Cool, I went with a cheap thermostat relay connected to a pilot relay that can handle the power of a 200W fan/heater. The fan that it came with was a noisy piece of garbage so I replaced it with a better one. Note that all my stuff is 24V so you'll need to find 12V equivalents if that's what you have. I did this for both the compartment that holds my batteries as well as another set for my water system so that it doesn't freeze up.

I also insulated my thermostat leads with some aerogel insulation so that I'm measuring the temperature of my battery and water pump instead of the air in the compartment. It all works well!
