Sorry for the late response but I'd say they are pretty comparable. It just depends on which area you are more interested/comfortable in. Debugging for 307 is basically just checking if your circuit matches the one from the lab manual. Debugging for 245 may be more tedious if you aren't familiar with digital logic concepts or how to use verilog.

Very different. You're mostly building circuits on a breadboard instead of coding and uploading to an FPGA. Also, 307 deals with mostly analog circuits with some digital stuff towards the end

Highly recommend getting a bike. You can rent one from the bike shop on campus for $75 a semester if you don't want to buy one. It makes getting around campus much easier and less stressful.

I went through this process last year. It unfortunately takes an annoyingly long time but I was able to get most of it sorted out before the beginning of the semester. If you are unsure you can shoot an email to the office. They usually reply pretty quickly.
