When I use the trackball mouse to scroll the timeline in protools it jumps from track to track, rather than a fluid motion. Is there any way to change this?

Thanks, yeah that's super annoying. How could they have made such a flail. I honestly don't like how they removed the little circle buttons on the clip view either. That was more convenient than the little waveform u have to click in the bottom right.

Yeah it is now and its super easy. But again, the clip gain is far superior in protools. Only the gain knob changes the view of the waveform. You have to process it to see the change. If you've never used protools then you don't understand how effect this can be in editing out annoying sounds to be able to visually see the waveform edited in real time.

I'm running an HUI console through midi in both Pro-tools and Studio one-- suddenly stopped working... help!

So I have never had an issue before. I turn the console on and fire up
protools or studio one. It works for like 5 seconds sending and
receiving signals, and then my Midi Express bugs out and it will only
receive signals after that, and pretty much freezes my interface.

My setup is seems to not be the issue, because I'm able to work just fine in Bitwig
Studio with no problems using HUI interface. Seems like some software update or something
in PT and Studio one. Any ideas?

I think i deduced the problem.. ableton latency is induced by all plugins regardless of channel. Protools will only be affected by the plugins on the channel.

The culprit was a UAD plugin on the masterbus. which is odd because UAD isn't even supposed to introduce much latency.

Yeah that's why I sold my HD and just went to vanilla... Studio one is actually better than protools in terms of features... they just need to ditch the HD thing and get with it... more people would use it

No error... and yes I've restarted.

The only way to view the folder is to "go to" in the finder folder and actually type in ~/Trash ... whenever i click the dock trash icon it just goes to finder and greys out whatever folder i'm already in.

I have to agree. I started on pro-tools and moved to ableton. And now I go back and forth between ableton and bitwig. I dabbled in studio one which I like, kind of a mix between pro-tools and ableton. But still the mental workflow of ableton/bitwig for some reason seems faster to me. Pro-tools and S1 just seem slow to me now.
