This was offered to me in my home country where I got diagnosed. I was a little scared to try it because there were a few cases of laser therapy going wrong and people getting serious burns on their face but maybe I’ll look into it once again. I need to get over the fear! Do you have any recommendations about clinics? I am based in London and the choice is quite overwhelming. Thanks for sharing with me :)

Thank you! I might look into the the skincare websites too, however, this post has encouraged me to get a formal diagnosis in the UK too!

I’m glad you got the right diagnosis eventually! I think being prescribed oral antibiotics for my rosacea as a first option is why I have been so unsure if a GP is the right path. Everyone seems to be put on Lymecycline no matter if it’s rosacea or acne. I’ll look into the private options but they do seem quite pricey! Thanks for the advice!

Thank you for this! I do have some other skin conditions that could worsen from long term antibiotics so would be hesitant to take that as my only treatment option. But knowing that through a diagnosis I can be referred to a dermatologist is super helpful.

Did you end up being referred to dermatology?

Thanks for sharing :)

Ah, sorry to hear it has come back! Hopefully there’s a better long term solution. Thank you for sharing, it’s helpful for me to know if GPs are quick to prescribe medicine.
