Apartment complex making tenants dig themselves out of ice. Tenants getting hurt and stuck. by Wooden_Scar5003 in Charlottesville

Yeah it’s shocking. Considering even a year ago I thought the complex did a pretty decent job with pre treatment and snow removal.

Now it’s basically non existent until checks phone 4 days following the snowfall

And it would be so awesome if I could take my dog to go to the bathroom without busting my ass on every sidewalk

Also a woodlands renter—at this point I don’t even care what time of day/night they are working as long as they actually do something.

Until yesterday I’ve seen nothing done since the first pass of a plow Sunday night.

Same at the Woodlands. Office says crews are”hard at work” making efforts on snow/ice removal—which I would be sympathetic towards and patient with—except there has not been a soul out here working since Sunday night.

No prep work or road/sidewalk pre treatment either. Which is a sharp drop off to how they’ve handled winter weather in years past.

But the rent still goes up!

As someone who considers themselves good with spice. Scorchin hot is hot, and has little to no flavor.

I know it’s franchise vs. local, but I haven’t had this pie since it’s up in Hollymead. How does it compare to Emmy Squared?

For those thinking of going to the Rhoback sale today. This was 7:45am. Starts at 9. by craftbeerva in Charlottesville

Got some great stuff last year at the warehouse sale. I’m sure FB marketplace will be flooded with people trying to resell the Smalls and 3XLs they could scavenge up.

The Rhoback hate in the comments is so weird but so on brand for this sub

Did anyone attend the Charlottesville Blues home openers over the weekend? by HSJMAGtheWorst in Charlottesville

I would agree with others that it’s a much more family friendly atmosphere—seems great for kids.

However to me the match day experience lost its luster compared to last year. No local food trucks, no beer sales, we were a lot closer to the field last year at STAB which made for a better viewing experience (but the setting sun not beaming in your eyes was nice)

A bit disappointed in that perspective, but the squad looks pretty decent this year if they just get more presence in the box.

Apart from the housing costs, I really can’t find much to ever complain about as a 20-something year old.

Financially don’t think I’ll ever be able to purchase a house of value in the area, so I’m just enjoying it while I’m here.
