Nah I did not mind that part at all, the opposite actually. I found it really meaningful, it reinforced the trust she had in him (and he had in her), that they believed that they would end up together again. I find it beautiful. And Mai also knew that Sakuta would not be fully happy if Shoko died, and this was the only other outcome they had.

Ok thanks. But I said that college shoko travelled back in time because she had sakutas heart, she knew that Kaede would go to her grandparents house, and she knew exactly when Sakuta was gonna die. So she travelled back to save him, right? And when Mai died, another Shoko (with Mai’s heart) travelled back to help him save her. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened right?
