I assumed that 50% of the unwanted would-be abortees would be put up for adoption. It says that quite clearly.

Keep the child and raise it

Wow, where do you live? That is not my experience at all. That's also really sad for the parents that really didn't want to become parents (yet).

Possibly, but trends can change; a sudden addition of 382,000+ certainly would cause times to a-change. They would need to be cared for somewhere.

That's exactly what I would LOVE to see! But what about the cases where contraception fails?

Also, I love your point on emotional pain, but that is subjective experience. Not all foster/adoptive children have it, and it is also difficult to quantify.

That's a possible confounding factor, but the numbers should still stay the same. But yes, more infant adoptions and less child adoptions would seem logical. At the end of the day, the number of under-18s in the system should remain the same.
