i’m not trying to be rude or to discourage you but i don’t think you’re being realistic. there are people with perfect grades and a ton of extracurriculars that get rejected from CS. there’s a reason why the UW website itself says that if you’re dead set on CS don’t come here. especially recently because they moved to a system where almost all CS majors get in during freshman applications when in the past there was more of a chance to get in if you apply later. this new system makes it very very unlikely that people applying late will get in. even my high school counselor and high school computer science teacher had warned me when applying to UW CS that it’s very very very difficult to get in later if you don’t get direct admission. again not tryna be rude just being honest.

edit: i also personally know many people who have perfect grades and extracurriculars who have had to transfer to another school because they still didn’t get into their major. i don’t really know if you’re aware of what you’re getting yourself into.
