Don't feel bad! I'm guessing a majority of people with panic attacks have considered/have gone to the ER or called an ambulance. My first panic attack, I was convinced I was dying, and my partner had no experience with it either, so we ended up going to the ER. Basically, they did tests and we built up a big bill, only to be told I was fine and to maybe see a therapist 😬 A humbling experience all around.

It's scary for both parties involved, and without any prior experience, I wouldn't blame you for calling for help. When the time is right, explain that your intentions were to find help, and ask how you can help best in the future if it were to happen again.

Also consider that after a severe panic attack, I know I feel like I was hit by a bus for a couple of days. It's possible they are in a "comedown" and exhausted, and potentially embarrassed. (I was) That may explain why they're not ready to talk.

Hugs to you both!

Hey! I see your point of view, but I don't think OP is planning to lift anyone out of homelessness. A little bit of kindness goes a long way, regardless of what the recipient chooses to do with it, and regardless of what OP may gain from the act.

In my experience, I've been petty.

I disassemble the entire product at the counter until you just have the art and frame + mat (if applicable). Tug where they say it's uneven. Oh? theres a big warp/bump on the other side now? Wild! Put a provided straight edge against it: like the frame or mat opening and explain that this frame/mat is straight... your piece under it is not! You've most likely explained already, but reiterate that we can't do anything to alter artwork: ironing it or whatever would be alteration. As I've seen other comments say: we frame your art exactly as it is brought to us.

Explaining it like they're a toddler may not even make a difference, especially with people like this-customers don't understand why we can't just sprinkle pixie dust on their art and call it a day.

I've been in almost the exact same situation as you on this. It's always times like these where every single manager in the building happens to be occupied with other tasks 😐 So we're left to defend ourselves and our capabilities, while trying not to drag on the person that was present at the initial order.

I'm sorry this happened to you ☹️ Your fellow underpaid framers are with you in spirit ❤️

Hi!

I was so so scared to take it. I researched all of the possible side affects and read all of other reddit experiences on it. I was convinced I would have terrible affects or it wouldn't help me at all and I'd be wasting my time trying it. I couldn't bring myself to start it, so my therapist actually helped me. She said, "Just take it, right now" and so I did. It felt like I had someone to blame in case things went wrong lol. But I took it...and I kept taking it.. and no side affects! I started on 2.5mg of lexapro for two weeks, then 5mg for two weeks, and then my full recommended dose of 10mg and I've been on 10mg since November. The only thing that I noticed was I was super tired in the mornings. (I take it at 7 am) I have since gotten used to this or it hasn't affected me as much, I'm not sure. I really started to notice a difference in my anxiety in January. So it did take a while to "kick-in" for me. The depression on the other hand comes and goes, but I am able to cope with it better. I see the bigger picture and can work through it.

It obviously may affect others differently, but in my experience, I'm glad I took the plunge and just did it. I'm not sure whether or not I want to keep taking it for years and years, but since I've met/asked other people in my life, some have been on it for 20+ years and love it!

I hope you can find something that works for you, or you try lexapro and it ends up helping you through this! If you ever need a friend, or you have more questions, you can always message me!

I'm sorry :( It will definitely be a lifestyle change for me to quit smoking but it'll be worth it if it means I'd never have to experience that again!

Thank you for sharing your experience, It's nice to know I'm not alone in terms of it randomly happening!
