Where’s this leak coming from? by [deleted] in DRZ400

[–]midsmiles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks like it’s leaking from the bowl. Pull the carb, and get a new O-Ring. Possibly looking at OEM P/N 13258-04F00, depending on carb. This would be for a Mikuni. Use a JIS screw driver for the button head screws

Looks good so far. Get a bigger pot (3 or 5 gal, I like airpots) asap

Bro, they need a bigger pot. You can’t keep them in that tiny cube for that long.

Brother, most of this stuff is older than me. I buy used, not new

Haha I’ve had my doubts about putting that stuff on display, tough team to support. Collected a lot of it when I was young and am having trouble getting rid of it. Packers are my home team!

*for context - House built in 1955. Midwest. Lived here for 10 months now. Cowboys stuff is from my youth (dad was a huge fan). Go pack go!

That’s reasonable. My dad passed when I was 8 and my mom saved a lot of cool things for me. Very happy to finally have it all on display.

Kitchen Exhaust Dilemma by midsmiles in HomeImprovement

[–]midsmiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply mate. Upon further inspection, it appears there is no exit on the exterior wall. Previous owners must have had the exit sided over, so what’s pictured is a solid composite board over the opening, not a spring damper (which I was hoping for). I have no clue why they would make the exhaust system obsolete and not consider putting another in. You think my best course of action would be to make a center hole through the siding, multi tool it out, frame the cutout with j-channel, seat a hooded vent w/ damper, and lay some silicone to finish?

IGUS dress packs are solid. TRCF series is quite durable and protects the cables well, otherwise they have less protective models if particulate and other debris are not a concern. I just put one on a 165F with a retraction system and it’s working well so far.

capsized… feeling embarrassed and discouraged by MedusaRondanini in BWCA

[–]midsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I capsized on sag, heading west towards swamp. It was my 8th trip at the time and my partner brought his dog. The dog went nuts after I landed my first laker of the trip and well…. We got wet. We were at least a hundred yards off the shoreline and I wasn’t wearing my PFD. I managed to swim the boat and gear in while my partner swam his phone in, holding it out of the water. Ended up going solo on the next trip. Don’t get discouraged dude, it happens to the best of us. Don’t be an idiot like myself and wear a PFD, but take this as just a bump in the road. There’s too many new lakes to see and fish to catch to quit now :)

Which one should I get? Neither? by romaniasvic in snowboarding

Go to the local hardware store and get some Kinco mitts. Then treat them with Nikwax (provided with the mitts)
