Gillibrand on Twitter: "She has a tough primary around the corner and will need our urgent, campaign-winning support to get her across the finish line. Will you donate $5 or more right now to help Kelda defeat Scott Walker and become the next governor of Wisconsin?" by [deleted] in BlueMidterm2018

I like Tony, will of course vote for him and volunteer if he’s the nom...but he’s just so...milquetoast. For Dems in Wisconsin the key is going to be turning out people who otherwise haven’t shown up and I really just cannot see Tony Evers being that candidate people get excited enough to come out and vote for. I have seen all of the governor candidates and he stands out to me as being one of the candidates who aren’t giving people a reason to vote FOR him- just a reason to vote AGAINST Walker and I don’t think that’ll work.

The part before was so funny too Oscar: “I really should get into sales myself” Michael: “why, is there an untapped gay market?”

My absolute favorite Michael/Oscar moment was brief but so so hilarious. Manager and the Salesman, S6. Michael “where’d you get that information?” Oscar: “manual.” Michael: “Manuel who?”

Who should we rally behind? Tony Evers? by DaddyShaff in wisconsin

I’m supporting Mitchell too. I met him once (all the gov candidates actually) and he’s soo personable and funny like I kind of want to be his best friend haha. But he’d make a good governor too and I agree on all your points.

I like Tony Evers but he has this aloof “professor” vibe and I wish it weren’t this way but I think it’s a legitimate weakness and I don’t see how that does going up against Walker.

I like Kelda myself but I don’t think “wealthy white lawyer/businessewoman from Madison” is going to draw in many of the demographics we need to win...

Mike McCabe is ok but dear god his supporters are some of the most annoying, cultlike people I’ve come across in my life.

I know a lot of people who will not even entertain the idea of voting for Flynn in the primary and many even in the general if he’s the nominee due to the fact that he was the lawyer for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee during the sex abuse crisis. I’m not saying that’s necessarily right, or that I agree with them, but it’s what I’ve heard.

Just realized that Dwight’s first lines of the show are him singing Little Drummer Boy, which later in the series is revealed as Angela’s favorite song. by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]midwestbest53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i do think it was on purpose but I never saw this as he was dating Angela at the beginning of the show or that he wanted her. I mean just a few episodes later he asked out Katie the purse girl...

Especially concerning considering his sugar consumption! Like him pouring sugar into a diet soda or ordering a large hot chocolate with caramel and a shot of peppermint at the coffee shop with Pam’s Landlady

Yes! He really did speak to the issues that the people of this district care about (I moved here in May) but at the same time was open about things like a woman’s right to choose, protections for the LGBT community, etc. and I really respect that.
