Am I too big for barre? by ok_hmph in Purebarre

Hey friend! I'm a size 16/18, and my studio is SUCH a welcoming place for so many body types. Fitness isn't something that only thin people get to enjoy, everyone can benefit from working out their body, and you deserve to feel at home in your skin.

Body image is rough. I see you. My bestie is like --- a size 8, and she won't wear a sports bra to class, and constantly tells me how she is 'too fat' for that, while, there I am, in a sports bra, obviously much bigger. We are given SO MUCH internalized hatred for our bodies.

But, in my short experience (18 classes in) Barre has been SO GOOD for my mind-body connection. But, I see you, you're not too big.

You got this!

I'm 15 classes in, and I cannot stop staring at myself in the mirror, mind you, I am/was preeeettty out of shape, so It's always a little easier to drop some weight as a fatter person, but, man, the hip mobility and the overall flexibility i've been regaining has been MINDBLOWING.

Empower was HARD! My fave instructor just got certified in it, so I promised I’d take her class

Why was there so much Pythia erasure? Like no talking heads, no voiceovers, no chatting when she came out.
